In addition to the P210 Legend, SIG SAUER unveiled their P290 pocket pistol at SHOT Show.
With dimensions almost identical to Kel-Tec’s PF-9 pistol, the P290 is easily concealable. Given it’s lightweight polymer frame, the P290 in weighs in at 20.5 ounces unloaded and is easy to carry around in a trouser pocket.
The P20 has a double-action only trigger so there is no safety or decocker. A slide release and trigger are the only external controls on this little shooter, unless you opt for the factory-installed, laser-mounted one under the barrel of the pistol. Removable/replaceable side panels let you customize the grip to your liking and an optional, 8-round magazine provides an extended grip.
All P290 pistols are available with high-contrast SIGLIGHT tritium night sights and a two-tone finish is available on the P290.
From the SIG SAUER press release: “THE P290 SUB-COMPACT 9MM, is our newest and most innovative and versatile polymer pistol. Designed to be the ultimate in conceal carry. This unique 9mm pistol is the perfect small defense handgun that meets the demands of today’s law enforcement professionals as a backup duty gun, and responsible citizens as a conceal carry gun. The removable grip plates allow for customization with aluminum, wood, and polymer and can be engraved with your initials for a true customized pistol.”

Option Ronald. I think the default WordPress comments method is the very best with modifications using CSS for styling as well as a few plugins for further functionality.
can you shoot +p hollow point through a sig p290
I bought this gun and want to sell it A.S.A.P. I am so not happy with it.

Sig lists the overall height at 3.9″
I like the swappable grip panels. I use thin Alumagrips on my Kimber Ultra Carry, and they reduce the width of the pistol considerably, as well as keeping it from chafing.
I’m not a Kel-Tec fanboy, but their small pistols are apparently the basis for comparison.
Built like a tank?
Why does this weigh 20.5 OZ unloaded! Do they have lead in the backstrap. The PF-9 is 12 OZ and the P238 is 15.2 OZ.
The article should say Kel-Tec PF-9. Kahr makes the PM9.
Edit: Corrected to Kel-Tec PF-9.
What is the MSRP?
THAT is a tasty-looking pocket pistol. I’m guessing, especially with the factory laser, that you’ll be able to buy about 3 PM9s for the price of the P290.
