Combat Lights: Are You Ready for Action?

Preparing for personal defense scenarios on a brightly lit range, and firing against one-dimensional targets that are squared to you, isn’t combat practice. At best it is a beginner’s exercise in controlling the trigger and sight alignment. However, gunfights occur in dim light. This means that the time is overdue to practice and learn to use the proper tools. A combat light is an accessory to some, and a necessary tool to others.

The Home Built AR-15

The AR-15 is America’s rifle in a very personal and individualist way—and in a manner no rifle has been since the Winchester ’73. With plenty of handguns and MSRs driving foot traffic in 2016, retailers also reported high accessory turns for rails, flashlights, and waterfowl decoys. Women’s specialty products were up, and there were plenty of deer-hunting items making the register ring. For the 2017 SHOT Show, there are literally miles of accessories to view. Here’s a look at what’s new on the floor this year.

In the past, Colt’s rifles stood at the top of the heap on quality, and the cheaper rifles stood on cheap. Where does the the Expanse rank? Read the full article to find out.
