SIG’s SB15 Legal Pistol Stabilizing Device

In November 2012, a disabled veteran, Alex Bosco received a letter from the ATF in regards to a prototype of a stabilizing brace he had invented to aid him in shooting an AR-15 pistol one-handed. Of course, many have started using the SB15 “improperly,” by using the device to shoulder their AR-15 pistols. Does this make it an SBR? The ATF says no.
