Shooting in the New Year with Patrick E. Kelley

Patrick E. Kelley, Cheaper Than Dirt sponsored shooter

Can you believe 2015 is already knocking on 2014’s door? We all have our traditions for ringing the new year.  We attend parties, we watch the new year ball drop with friends, or simply stay home and enjoy a quiet evening watching the variety of celebrations from around the world on T.V.

Did you know that Auld Lang Syne was originally a Scot’s poem penned by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the traditional folk song turn known as Roud #6294? This 200-plus-year-old song is traditionally sung at the conclusion of Scottish New Year gatherings as well in many English-speaking countries as around the world. The Boy Scouts often sing this tune at the end of their gatherings, symbolizing ending and new beginnings.

As 2014 comes to a close, Cheaper Than Dirt!-sponsored shooter Patrick E. Kelley is at once again shooting musical targets this time to the traditional new year tune of Auld Lang Syne.
