Save the Ta-Tas

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and all month-long we will see all types of special edition pink ribbon products. Donations from the sale of pink ribbon products helps fund grants for breast cancer research. In 2010, there were 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. Almost everyone I know has been touched by breast cancer in some way. That is why I want to give a shout-out to the companies that give back. The following products are pink ribbon products in which proceeds from sales goes directly to cancer research:

Sabre Red Pepper Spray 0.54 Ounce

Pepper spray is a viable option for when you cannot carry a gun. Experts recommend pepper spray over stun guns, because you do not have to get close to your attacker. The Sabre red pepper spray is effective out to 10 feet and holds about 25 shots. Its unique design prevents spray blowback. It comes in a pink case with quick-release, detachable keychain.

Streamlight Pink Nano LED Flashlight

This perfect little purse or keychain LED light has a one-handed rotation on/off operation and lights up at a bright 10 lumens. The key fob features the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon on one side, and the Streamlight logo on the other side. With each sale of the little Nano, Streamlight donates one dollar to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

12 Gauge Federal Top Gun Target Special Edition Pink Box Shotshells

Federal has release a special edition of their Top Gun target loads with a pink box that features the pink ribbon. A portion of all sales from the box is donated to help find a cure for breast cancer.

The Federal Top Gun target loads are specifically for clay shooting and a value-priced. They feature a 2-3/4-inch shell, #8 shot, 1-1/8 ounce and are packed 25 shells per box.

KA-BAR Pink Dozier Hunter Folding Knife

KA-BAR is donating a minimum of $25,000 to the Roswell Park Center Cancer Institute from sales of the pink-handled Dozier folding knife. With a 3-inch plain blade, integrated pocket clip and with a weight of only 0.10 pounds, it is small enough to fit in your pocket or purse, but tough enough to tackle your everyday cutting tasks. The AUS 8A stainless steel blade offers a great sharp edge and is corrosion-resistant.

We all want to save the ta-tas, right? So do your part and support the companies that care.
