ESS ICE Eye Shields

By the same company that provides goggles to our Marines, these ESS ICE eye shields are certain to be your top choice for eye protection for when you are out at the range. This particular model, designed for smaller faces, just might surprise you at how well they fit! Including both clear and smoke lenses, you are ready for both outdoor and indoor shooting. For our USMC and USAF women, these glasses come authorized for you to wear. At $45 less than retail, how could you pass up such a bargain?

The lenses on these eyeglasses have a special anti-fog, anti-scratch lens coating and provide you distortion-free vision. These glasses are perfect for keeping your aim on target true.

Take it from our reviewer Coastal Girl, “I have worn the ESS ICE series since they were introduced. When I saw this price, I grabbed two sets… There is a reason they are standard issue by our military and several other nations as well. Retail is about $60 per pair, GREAT BUY!”

Leatherman Crunch Multi-Tool

Around here, Leatherman has become a household name. Instead of knife or tool, insert the word “Leatherman” for whatever you need, and you know you will get a hard-working, top-quality tool to get the job done. In fact, guys around the office are still lamenting about Leathermans misplaced years ago… “That was just the best damn tool I ever had.”

The Crunch multi-tool, introduced in 1999, was the first multi-tool to incorporate a set of locking pliers. Around the worksite or when you are working around the house, the Leatherman Crunch multi-tool is your best buddy. Constructed of 100% stainless steel, the Crunch includes 14 tools:

  • Locking pliers (clamps up to 1-inch diameter pipe)
  • Hard wire cutters
  • Serrated knife
  • Metal and wood file
  • Ruler (inch and metric)
  • Bottle opener
  • Small screwdriver
  • Medium screwdriver
  • Large screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver (#1 and #2)
  • Hex bit driver (.25-in.)
  • Wire stripper
  • Lanyard attachment

Our customer Mike Perrine gives it five bullets: “This is the least known, yet one of the best multi-tools around. I have three of them: one for home, one for the bike, and one for the truck. I pair this with the Victorinox multi-tool and can fix almost anything. Try and find another good vise grip tool out there-there is none.”

Zap Light

For when you can’t carry, this Zap Light one million-volt stun gun and ultra-bright LED flashlight is a good alternative. The Zap Light has a built-in NiMH rechargeable battery and can last up to two months with a full charge. It also has bright, LED bulbs that lights the way for over five hours per charge. It is perfect for camping, hunting, dark parking garages, night hikes, or for when you are out walking the dog. The glow strip incorporated into its design helps you find the stun gun in the dark, so you are not messing around trying to find it when the need arises.

The million volts takes down an attacker, or rabid animal, fast; the higher the voltage, the louder and scarier the noise of the stun gun!

The Zap Light also includes a wall charger, so there are no batteries to replace or go dead.

Our reviewer “martyapo” bought the Zap Light stun gun for his girlfriend and had this to say:
“The stun gun makes a very scary sound and is very intimidating. The ergos are great and the switch operates quickly from light to stun. It is heavy enough to be used as a blunt weapon but not so much that it would wear you out on a long walk. The shocking power is pretty painful, but honestly the sight and sound should be enough to deter an attacker.”

TriStar TT-09 Trap Gun

Trap shooters demand a shotgun with certain requirements that help them hit their targets more accurately. In The Gun Digest Book of Trap & Skeet Shooting 5th Edition, Rick Sapp writes that trap guns generally:

  • Are built to shoot high
  • Have tapered, adjustable ribs, and high or adjustable stock comb
  • Have a longer barrel
  • Are heavier

The TriStar TT-09 single-shot trap gun with its 34-inch barrel meets the requirements needed for trap shooting. In fact, Rick Sapp includes it in his list of top guns for trap. The TT-09 is an excellent and affordable choice for fun trap shooting, or for those who are just starting out. If you do your research on TriStar shotguns, you will find reviewers saying the gun functions well, shoots flawlessly, and is worth more than you pay for.

Our reviewer, Dave says this:
“I just started shooting trap after a 15-year break, so I was looking for a gun that wouldn’t break the bank. After several weeks, I found this one, and said, “Let’s give it a try.” Don’t let the fact that it is made in Turkey fool you! I have a Mossberg O/U Silver Reserve also made in Turkey, and it serves me well in Sporting Clays. The 34-inch barrel is great, especially if you are going to try handicap shooting. The three chokes that come with it, I measured out at: .775 inches, .785 inches, and .795 inches.” The lock up between barrel and receiver is acceptable. Nothing fancy about the stock wood, if you have long arms this gun will fit you nicely. After firing close to 1000 rounds this summer so far, I am very happy I purchased this TriStar.”
