Opening Day!

Picture shows a dove decoy with wings that move in the wind.

Dove season opened here in Texas yesterday and most of us are stuck at our desks… for a few more hours at least, which gives us time to take stock of what we have and what we need. Here are a few suggestions to help you out on a successful first hunt.

Mojo Decoys Motion Dove Motorized Decoy

This decoy pulls the birds right in with its realistic details and will last all day (23 hours) on four AA batteries. With it being so dry here, our land is cracked and parched; the two-piece stake system is strong enough to stick in tough ground. Even better? It will carry over to duck season!

This little folding chair is lighter and smaller than your average camp chair, but that just means it’s easier to carry in the field. It folds up and has an integrated strap for easy transportation. The storage pouch is a good place to stash your beef jerky, extra shells, and maybe even a bird or two!

BLACKHAWK! 55 Round Shotgun Bandoleer

55 shells! If only you could bag that many birds, right? Using this bandoleer means you aren’t fumbling around with trying to find ammo, or carrying around a heavy, cumbersome bag filled with loose shells. The tight elastic shell holders on this bandoleer will make sure you will not lose any shells in the field. The Blackhawk! 55-round shotgun bandoleer is made of heavy-duty nylon military pistol belt webbing, so it’s built to last!

The Buck Commander BlackFalls hydration system holds 100 ounces of water and is made of soft, quiet polyester material. These guys know hunting; you can bet they wouldn’t put their name on something you couldn’t trust.
