Olympic Arms Takes a Hard Line Against State and Agency Gun Grabs

Olympic Arms, the AR-15 builder located in Olympia, Washington, recently released a statement about how it will deal with sales to states that are seeking to restrict 2nd Amendment rights. Also, the company published a public repudiation of the official magazine of the Fraternal Order of Police, the FOP Journal, which was soliciting Olympic for advertising dollars. The two Olympic documents appear below:olympic-arms-logo-and-motto

Olympic Arms, Inc. Announces New York State Sales Policy

Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people. If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.

This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.

Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.

Sincerely, Brian Schuetz President, Olympic Arms, Inc.

Olympic Arms Statement to ‘FOP Journal’

Olympic Arms was recently asked to advertise in the FOP Journal; the official magazine of the Fraternal Order of Police. It is well known that the FOP is a staunch supporter of Gun Control, had backed the AWB under Bill Clinton, and supports the current AWB under consideration that was introduced by Diane Feinstein. The FOP was actually accredited as being one of the sources that helped prepare the language of Gun Control suggestions that were forwarded by Vice President Biden. Below is a copy of our response to the FOP Journal;: Please forward this email to every major principal in your organization.

  1. The Fraternal Order of Police is on Congressional Record as having been a major supporter of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban.
  2. As a matter of fact and record, the FOP is accredited with assisting VP Biden in formulating the language of the newly proposed ban:
  3. Additionally, as a matter of fact and public record, the FOP is in support of the newly recommended Assault Weapons Ban introduced by Senator Feinstein.

THEREFORE: Olympic Arms, Inc, manufacturers of AR15 type firearms, firearms that these legislators would call “Assault Weapons”, will not be supporting in any way, shape, form or fashion, The Fraternal Order of Police, any organization that represents, supports, takes advertising dollars from, spends advertising dollars with, is in anyway related to, any individual who is a card carrying member of, or any person or entity in any way associated with the Fraternal Order of Police. Period. Henceforth;

  • Be assured that Olympic Arms will not rest in its efforts to educate our customers, fans and followers the extent of the hypocrisy committed by the FOP and FOP Journal; (fighting to outlaw the firearms produced by the very companies they now solicit for advertising dollars…). You can also be certain that we continue to make every effort to properly educate the firearms consumer in general, of the same.
  • Additionally, we will make continued efforts at assure that ALL firearms manufacturers are aware of the FOP’s support to strip Constitutional Rights from Americans, and their support of further unconstitutional gun control legislation.
  • We pledge to inform all of our customers the lengths that the FOP and associated FOP affiliates by proxy (which includes all your advertisers) are willing to go to in order to strip the American Citizen of their Constitutional Rights, while at the same time writing in exemptions to the same legislation to ensure that their members maintain those same rights they would have stripped from others.
  • Your actions are the actions of a rogue organization supporting tyranny, not an organization sworn to uphold the laws of the land, to protect, serve and defend their constituencies.

Let it be known that your actions are reprehensible and shameful.

Sincerely, Thomas A. Spithaler Sales & Marketing Dir. Olympic Arms, Inc.

Comments (201)

  1. After reading this, I will no longer donate any money to FOP. What money I would have given will go to the NRA.

  2. With companies like Olympic and others looking for a “gun friendly” government, Texas will welcome them with open arms, of both kinds… Many companies from the “liberal” coasts are being courted by our governor Rick Perry’s administration, with a lot of our blessings.

Could that be one of the reasons, even in this terrible economy, Texas is one of the few states that is actually doing a lot better than most of this country. We have our own electric grid, port of entries for world trade, and an agricultural sustainability that can feed our population, plus others.

  3. After reading all of the above comments, I agree that Olympic Arms has taken the appropriate step and other gun and ammunition manufacturers need to do the same. The molding of police forces into military style units while disarming the public is a clear recipe for disaster. It must be noted that we may have crossed the line from where the public was trusted and obligated to preserve its own government, even through defensive force, to where it is to be “cared for” and ruled by an increasingly distrustful and intrusive central power. As a resident of the SPRM (Socialist Peoples Republic of Maryland), I would ask that Olympic arms and all of the other patriotic gun and ammo manufacturers and dealers include Maryland in your boycott.

  4. Thank you for standing up for our rights! We all should support Olympic Arms not just with our words, but with our wallets! The next time you have a firearms purchase, try to buy from Olympic, and those others who are standing up,for our rights, first! Thank you Olympic Arms! Bravo!

  5. I applaud Olympic Firearms and their officers for taking such a principled stance against our overreaching government. You are a courageous company and I hope all others will follow your lead. Please add Maryland to your Banned list our governor O’Malley and New York’s Cumo are kissing each others ass and trying to pass legislation the same as New York We should also send a email to Berretta who builds guns in Maryland to go to TX or a gun friendly state or we should ALL stop buying Berretta guns… WE need to also send a message to these companies that do business in these states….Cheaper Than Dirt give us a list of these companies !!!

  6. I have to also add that we (in some states) still have capital punishment and it has been proven that it does not deter capital crimes such as murder; so why do the moron leftist and Obamaites think that gun bans will do anything to stop such crimes. We all know how Obama likes to side step congress and ignore the constitution . His ego is like that of a megalomaniac . We have to stop these people that would take our liberties and force us more towards a socialist society. Just look at Obama care and that should be enough to convince anyone.

  7. OoRah Qlympic.

Thank you for your staunch support for the Second Amendment. Too many people in this greatest country on God’s green earth take their rights for granted, including some of my friends and family. I keep reminding them that all other rights enumerated in the Constitution and Bill of Rights hinge on the Second Amendment. Once a free people cede a right, the purchase price to win it back is ALWAYS blood.

  8. Good job Olympic and Cheaper Than Dirt. Hope your stand will inspire S & W, Colt, Ruger, Glock, Winchester,Remington and all the others. Too many to name. Keep these “Illegal” firearms out of the hands of all government entities. If an honest law abiding citizen can’t have them then why should governments since these weapons are so dangerous? Are all cops competent?

  9. I was overwhelmed to finialy hear of the news of olympic firearms stance .It has been the first time I was proud to be a american since the horribe administration has crushed our rights and started the PLAN TO DESTROY AMERICAN rights one step at a time .Please all manufactures you have a much as we do to loose join the fight for our freedom and our country. This country will not fall to this take over of the new miltary way of control. We are all horiffied at the shooting of children and any Innocent life loss but what kind of sick officials use this to bring down a nation of Free PEOPLE to further reduce us to SHEEP of there control .WE ARE NOT CONTROLED BU THE GOVERMENT THEY WORK FOR US .Somehow they think we work for them ,WE DO NOT .From now on they should all have there slaries reduced to 40.000 a year like us and have the same health care we do .You people are not Hollywood Celebrities spending free money you are workers of the country .Your job is not to control and force us into submission under your orders.PLEASE STEP UP .

  10. Kudos for Olympic Arms and others who are refusing to ‘get along’ with the anti-Constitutionalists of all stripes! I look forward to the ammunition manufacturers to with-hold from those states and G’mnt bureaucracies (except the military) until there is no more demand from the ‘civilians’ and free citizens of this great country.

  11. I applaud Olympic Firearms and their officers for taking such a principled stance against our overreaching government. You are a courageous company and I hope all others will follow your lead. Hats off to you – job well done. Very Sincerely, James Holland

  12. Reply to post 181. That is a good idea as I live in Pa. and there are a lot of gun owners and hunters here. I have already contacted our reps. and have stated my position on this issue. The Rod & Gun club I belong to has over 1500 members.

  13. U have earned my money/ business thanks my hats off to you.never thought to much about Olympic Arms but now I’m on the hunt (:P u wont regret this. U have started a good movement lets hope other do the same again!- u gained a new faithfull costumer / long time friend thanks again!

  14. Where are the gun owning Democrats hiding? Why don’t they come out and tell the dems that are trying to push the gun bans that they as democrates will not be re-electing Democrate politians that support radical gun control.

We should all let our elected goverment teat sucking politians know we will remember their stand on gun control when we next vote.

  15. Thank you Olympic Arms for standing up to the gun grabbing, constitutional rights denying government agencies. I think we have all had enough of being mistreated and having our rights stolen by power grabbing elected officials. I will patronize your company and encourage all my friends to do the same. We will win this fight if we all stick together. Thanks again.

    David Hidalgo

  16. God Bless the REAL Americans at Olympic Arms and LaRue Tactical!
Please support Olympic Arms and LaRue Tactical and others that take great risk to support YOU and our 2nd ammendment!

  17. So from now on, CTD, Olympic arms and LaRue will be the source of my purchaces if at all I can find them there, we all should, in fact, only buy from those courageous enough to call the LIBS out on this stupidity, thank you to all three……now we need the ammo manufacturer’s to join and we will have a ball game…..the LEO’s in those States have stock-piles but wont last long

  18. Just got a quick one line response from the FOP.
    Here it is:
That bill in 2008 does not reflect her new bill that is currently in discussion.

I guess he does not understand that my argument stands for any “assault weapons” ban.

    John from Wyoming

  19. Zach(post #122,) This is what I sent to the FOP in response to their message posted #62 on this thread:

Your own response to me tells me that your organization supported the first “assault weapons” ban. Your own website states that as recent at the 108th Congress (your latest and only archived list of supported legislation) you supported “S. 2109 (Feinstein, D-CA), the “Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act” would reauthorize the Federal ban on certain types of assault weapons for an additional ten years;”

The fact that this is posted on your web site makes your statement, “The information posted on the Olympics Arms Facebook page is inaccurate,” a falsehood.

Are you now stating that your organization is switching it’s position on such legislation? If so, please respond post haste so that I can assist you in getting the word out by informing media outlets of this shift in position.

    John Bear

Thanks Zach for your research into the matter.

  20. Thanks Again Olympic Arms for you stand against the TYRANTS of our nation. I too will be buying your products from now on. It is too bad other companies have not followed your lead. They are going to suffer from lack of sells because of their lack of stance for the 2nd Amendment. Many like me will buy from you and NOT from them.

  21. I am a current owner of your fine products and I completely SUPPORT Brian Schuetz
decision.. I will make it my mission that any one of my sport friends looking for a rifle to consider only your products because of his recent release. and shame on other manufactures to not follow your lead……………….

  22. Thank you Olympic Arms! You have taken a stand against the corrupt and deluded state of New York. You will easily make up the shortfall from all the people who applaud your stand. It is refreshing to see an American business with principle and guts. I plan on buying an Olympic upper receiver as soon as this madness slows down to show my support. God bless your company.

  23. A short note to let you know that I took the time, interest, and concern to carefully read each and every word of this article. I have found one singular error in the script written by Mr. Spithaler. The salutation should be: “Respectfully” and not “Sincerely” as he is asking for his work to be taken in all seriousness, and not with admiration.

I would hate to have the the morons who live in secure gated communities to think for one moment that those of us who have stood watch on the “wall” (Cpl. USMC) have anything but the the utmost contempt and disdain for their holier than thou hypocrisy.

  24. Bravo to Olympic Arms and CTD. We now need to devise a strategy to have this information posted across the web, not just within this forum. There may be legalities in areas where breach of contract might arise, but the forthrightness of the protest is more than valid. It is our Inalienable Right as provided in the Bill of Rights. I leave it to a more knowledgeable internet person to post these comments across the web.

  25. This is an issue that is not talked about enough in the media for certain, and should be the most singular reason cited for US Citizens to be afforded the right to own AR 15 rifles, or any other “Assault” variant rifle. In the past months there has been nothing less than a demonizing of these firearms, citing them as high capacity weapons that serve no other person than to kill as many people possible, as quickly as possible. Well…if that is a true statement…then why has no one–I mean NO ONE–asked on any news network I have seen–as to why it is that the Police Departments around the country are in need of such weapons themselves then? Oh, in fully automatic format no less, yes? Are they intending to kill as many civilians as possible? Okay, no, lets hope that never becomes the case. But we can safely assume that Police Departments do issue these weapons so that their officers are afforded the superior firepower needed to address any criminal threat that should arise. Now, if it is true (and most abhorently obvious anywhere a police presence is documented these days by the weaponry they are seen carrying) that in order to combat todays criminal element the use of “assault” rifle are required (again, and they are afforded full auto vaiants) then why–oh please tell me me why–should they even begin to make the case that civilians at home with their own families NOT require the same firepower to defend themselves as deemed necessary in the same way by every duty officer across the country–EVEN IN THOSE STATES BANNING THEM! Truth be told, most police officers do not prevent violent crimes, they instead usually show up to little too late, only to investigate for discovery and perhaps prosecution of the perpetrator who committed the crime (AFTER IT HAS ALREADY BEEN COMMITTED). And what good does that do the victims? In talking about gun control here is a little fact that fail to tie to the 10,000 some odd shooting deaths that occured last year–and that is, for every single one of those that occurred, there is someone now deceased with whom the police departments across this nation FAILED TO PROTECT! More conversation HAS TO BE MADE regarding these glaring truths within the media. Simply put–IF CRIMINAL VIOLENCE IS SO BAD THE POLICE NEED FULL_AUTO AR 15s to protect themselves, THEN WHY THE HELL SHOULD NORMAL CITIZENS NOT BE FIT TO OWN THE SAME LEVEL OF PROTECTION?
Now, I am not a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, but I will pose this one simple suggestion I have been frustrated with for quite sometime. Often, there are many products developed and sold in todays market that are deemed for Military and LE use only, and yeah, some of it I get I suppose. But why should any Law Enforcement agency require anything at their disposal that is not deemed appropriate for civilian defense? They are not fighting a war in some distant land. For what purpose does an armored vehicle serve anyone whos job is to simply “keep the peace?” Here is an interesting bit of info–withing the doctrine of the US CONSTITUTION is states that this country’s military AT NO TIME SHALL BE USED AGAINST ITS OWN CITIZENS–to paraphrase a bit. However, it has somehow become acceptable to arm our Law Enforcement Officers to the hilt with much the same equipment afforded the military today–albeit seeming to me a simple way to offer military control over the people of this nation, yet without deeming it as being in use of the military. See where I am going here? Aside from a variation in uniform, can someone please tell me what the hell the difference between military personel and the Police even is anymore, besides perhaps their commanded usage? You certainly get around the Constitutions decree by not having to use the military against its own people, provided you arm your government officials with the same exact equipment, and merely call them the Police–wouldn’t that be suffice to say? I hope most people can clearly see, in truth (even as Thomas Jefferson warned and cited in reference to the 2nd amendment) no country comprised of a free people will ever be able to defend themselves against a rising tyranny, should that tyrannical entity be rest assured it has afforded itself the advantage of having superior equipment and superior firepower over it resisting opponet. And like I said, I am no conspiracy theorist…just saying it does not even begin to make sense that this is the case. If Law Enforcement deems it necessary to possess such deterents in order to defend themselves against the criminal element, THEN WHY SHOULDN’T WE BE AFFORDED THE SAME DETERENTS IN ORDER TO DEFEND OURSELVES? OUR FAMILIES? OUR OWN CHILDREN? Otherwise…victims arent we all. And the best we can hope for is that after it is too late, after the Police finally arrive armed to the hilt, and after such a violent crime has had the misfortune of visiting our own, we are reduced to simply hoping in those last moments that, perhaps, hopefully, if we are lucky, they may catch and prosecute the perpetrator AFTER he has already committed the act of which we were so rendered defenseless as to prevent such a tragic occurance in the first place.
Demand these questions be asked! Force the media to ask the question–why–why if these weapons are not a deterent against crime–then why are they such a necessecity within the arsenal of those sworn to uphold the law? I mean, if the criminal element out there is not so bad that I do not need one…then why do they?
Makes you wonder, or at least it does me.

  26. A big THANK YOU to Olympic arms. I hope every manufacturer will exit New York state because money talks and our government “leaders” only respect the dollar. The right to bear arms is not just to protect ourselves but it is to insure OUR LIBERTY. I do not want to be a US subject, like our fore fathers I will remain a U.S. Citizen. I have a better idea lets take guns away from criminals!

  27. Thank you and I hope that other Mauufacturers of both weapons, Weapon Components and Munitions join you. This is a breath of fresh air at a stressful time. The other weapon we the people have is the ability to vote. These people legislating our rights away need to be put out of office. They do not wish to lead they wish to rule. More of us must show up at the polls. Again thank you Olympic Arms.

  28. Seriously the coice is simple, either we have a system where there are two sets of laws, two classes of citizens, two americas, or we don’t. We should not have to seffer rebels atacking the constitution be they in CA or NY, or in our local jurisdictions. There is one constitution (federal) for all america and every other law must conform to it. The bans by CA and NY don’t. Many state and local legislation as well as some federal legislation doesn’t. We should be repealing these illigitimate laws, not passing new laws designed only to make our society more dangerous and less law abiding with a standard set from our houses of government, now filled with rebels who think themselves kings. We have no kings here, and we’ve made that point several times in our history.

  29. Some bonehead dems in MO are throwing out a total confiscation bill, 90 days to turn ’em in or you’re deemed a criminal. Good luck getting that passed…but if it did pass, you have a 90 day countdown to civil war.
Good to go, Olympic. If I could afford one (and didn’t have to wait for months to get one) I would buy an AR just for support.

  30. It’s great that a small scale manufacturer is taking a public stand, but they do need to be honest and forthright about why, so that we can bring another threat in to view. They and all other small AR-focused manufacturers will be severely financially damaged by any ban and must fight to survive. Large manufacturers like Remington and Colt and such will be able to corner the market if any ban is put in place and just like the first such gun bans they will be secretly lobbying to make an AWB happen.

They not only sell a large amount of the “nice gentle kind-hearted guns” but also sell the “wicked evil black guns” directly to the government and don’t need civilian sales to keep their production lines running. They just need more wars in dumpy little countries that aren’t worth dumping nuclear waste in. Funny someone hoped Remington would move from New York, when New York helped get us into Iraq and Afghanistan (They were awarded the contract to produce M4s for the military) and is leading the nation in putting their competitors out of business. There needs to be a very strong public opinion push against the big manufacturers to ensure that they don’t try any of their old tricks out and screw us all to their profit.

  32. I applaud Olympia Arms and all manufacturers who are refusing to sell the hostile state governments. If we all stand together, they will not be able to function.

  33. It’s great to see a company stand up for our rights and hopefully others will follow.
Until recently I haven’t been much for owning guns. Not saying I didn’t. Never really saw the need until now. Sorry to say our government is providing that need. In light of recent events many dealers have jacked the prices of purchasing a gun. Including not so Cheaper Than Dirt. Sorry guys! Nothing against anyone making a profit but help us help you. 1 or 2 more purchases and I’ll have what I feel I need. After that It’ll be purchases of what I may like to have and/or an effort to support companies like Olympic Arms who is now on top of the list of companies who’s products to purchase. Providing I can afford it, which goes back to the dealers. Keep in mind it’s not just a battle to keep our guns. It’s our freedom, period!!!!

  34. Thank God for your company and your strong beliefs in the Second Amendment. I will stand beside you till the end.As a veteran, Life time NRA member and a member of rifle and pistol clubs, plus a strong believer in the American Constitution and our Bill of Rights. I believe it looks like this country is heading towards a Marxist Socialistic country. I can’t believe the stupidity I see in some of our fellow country men. They want the government to give them everything for nothing and then cry like Hell when they have to do something to get it. They are like a flock of sheep being led blindly down the road of destruction. This scares me. When the sh** hits the fan it will short lived, but a lot of good people will pay the price for a lot of DUMB ASSES. May GOD be with us. Clarence & Patricia Perkins

  35. Congrats to Olympic Arms.I hope many, many more of the Arm’s companies follow suit.I will say that Remington Arms and Magpul in Colorado are always welcome to move your business to a Right to Bear Arms State here in Wyoming. We have wide open spaces, workers who want to work outside the oil and gas fields and a great economy and lets not forget large areas for R&D.

  36. again good going olympic andcheaper than dirt i get e-mail subs from other gun and supply companies i simply ask them their stand or lack of if they like spector have no view or dont want to get involved they dont need my business all they know is money . and politician only no taxes

    Olympic Arms, Inc.

It is so hopeful to know that there is a company that will stand-up for what is honorable over the almighty dollar when it comes to the defense of the country.
As many others have already stated, it is my hope that every arms manufacturer will take a page from your book and not do business with any state that feels the need to manipulate and dishonor our Constitution,
There is no question that our Constitution is under siege and every effort has to be taken to prevent its destruction from those who have no understanding, or desire to know, its importance to the foundation to our country.

    M. Baptiste

  38. Good for Olympic. I can not help but wonder if some very large companies in the industry are using state and federal legislation to reduce their competition (rent seeking). The ban on reimport of OUR Garand’s from Korea because their purchase would reduce new sales is one example. DPMS ,Magpul and many other companies are being beat down also. Time for Drastic change in Washington and many state capitols. We are not all Tree hugging, government embracing, pacifists. We can and should declare free states across North America. Conservatives have RIGHTS too. They repeatedly breach the Contract(Constitution). Free trade with out government .

  39. I applaud your stand and commitment to our precious constitution. The government is becoming the problem and we the people have the responsibility to ensure the blessings of freedom for our future generations. I am retired from the Navy and I have never been absolved from my oath to defend and protect the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic, we are the safeguards that stand between freedom and tyranny. As an American citizen we have the power to vote these radicals out, if they want a gun free state they can pack their things and go to a country that has those limitations in place. I know a lot of people who would buy their one way ticket. Our founding fathers would be up in arms at the state of our country.
    Roy H.

  40. Great thing you done, now other firearm manufactures, ammo, part and any firearm related item need to be next. T Joe F for more information on prices going up open your eyes, when manufactures prices go up for parts, equipment and the main reason Government TAXES your price has to follow. Hey J.Jensen maybe they should get out of that state and move to a state that would really thank them for being there, and their taxes would be cheaper.

  41. I thank Olympic Arms and ALL others that follow their lead! I think anybody that supports or votes for gun control should be tried for treason!
I have tried not to buy anything from New York, California and Illinois for some time now and I’m going to be even more vigilant where I buy. Maybe if companies start losing money they will write/call their law makers and do something to stop these rogue socialist excuses for an American from being reelected.

  42. I applaud your stand and will be proud to stand WITH you against 2nd Amendment oppression. Count me in, Our bill of rights club “Semo 10” will also back the companies that stand with you. God bless you. Ron

  43. Thank God for Olympic Arms! I hope the rest of the firearms and ammo industries follow suit! New York City and Chicago are not safe cities.
Toughest guns laws & highest crime rate. I really feel sorry for the honest citizens, hunters, sportsmen that have to live in New York City.
FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) shame on you………I guess it’s OK for the cops and criminals to have guns but not the honest citizens! Tourist should boycott New York…..go somewhere that nice and safe. The Mayor is too busy telling New Yorkers what to eat and what size Coke to drink instead of “fighting crime”! You take about screwed priorities.
    I guess I vented enough!

  44. I am so pleased at the response you all are giving to each other and in support of Olympic Arms, which is in my home State of Washington.
I also agree with you about the Line Drawn in the Sand in complete support of our SecondAmendmentt Rights.
If we do not speak up and demand that our voices be heard, than the Power Hungry Anti Constitution leaders will take everything that we have fought for and sacrificed will be lost forever!
We Must All Stand Together As God Fearing Americans, it is high time Our Voices Are Heard, and this is not the time to be silent any more.

We are the True Americans, and this is a Republic and Not A Socialist Democracy like we have had rammed down our throats from the Government Controlled Media!

All I can Say is well Done and You Are All In My Thoughts and Prayers!

As a Retired Firefighter Officer, I have the Highest Respect for Our Law Enforcement Officers that still Support the Second Amendment.

    Well Done!

    Kindest Regards,

  45. I have one suggestion for MAG PUL…move to TEXAS or WEST VIRGINIA. we will support you. We will stop doing business with anybody or any company in COLORADO. OLYMPIC ARMS, You are the ONE, we the people will support you in this fight .** AT A BOY **

  46. I for one will not do business with any of these states that try to tramples our 2nd amendment rights. I call for every person reading this to do the same. We the people can hurt them where it hurts the most..IN THEIR POCKET *** STAND WITH ME ***

  47. Wow! Awesome idea we’re behind you here in California . Looking forward to future business with Olympic arms as soon as everything settles.
Hoping other manufactures follow in your footsteps.God Bless you guys!!!

  48. It is a no brainer what home land security is going to do with all the ammo there going to sell it to law inforcement in states like new york so they will surport new government gun laws

  49. The fact that the “Grand Lodge” of the FOP went along with the first ban, offered language and input into it and continues to cozy up to VP Biden and Senator Feinstein speaks for itself despite whatever feeble attempts at apology and spin John from Wyoming offers. Given FOP’s past on this issue and their current dialog with Biden/Feinstein there is only one inference to be drawn.

When I saw the terror and cowardice a single rogue cop named Chris Dorner had on law enforcement recently, I had nothing but contempt for the police. They shot two women delivering newspapers in the wee hours of the morning. The shooting was so out of policy for any law enforcement agency, Barney Fife wouldn’t have engaged in drawing his weapon. They also shot out the front windshield of another truck.

Further they had cops on every off/on ramp along the 405 fwy in Irvine Ca. after Dorner murdered a couple in that city. The cops weren’t there for the general public however, they were protecting their own as the perpetrator had a “hit list” with a bunch of cops names on it.

Like Senators and Congressmen, they deem themselves worthy of pensions and perks the rest of us don’t enjoy such as better health coverage, pensions and in the case of the FOP, advertising revenue from the very people they want to ban or subjugate. It’s bad enough that we as a people have to bear the burden their lavish benefits, but they want to trample our Second Amendment rights as well.

  50. Congratulations to Olympic Arms, to have the spirit and guts to do what is right. I can only hope that their protest catches on with other weapons and accessory manufactures. We can not let our 2nd Amendment right be infringed upon or threaten by any State, Federal or Legislative body. I applaud you, for your action and pray for our great nation. These are some serious trying times. God Bless you and God Bless America.

  51. Also drom the FOP 108th congress: “PASSED!!! S. 253 (Campbell, R-CO), the “Law Enforcement Officers’ Safety Act,” would exempt qualified active and retired law enforcement officers from State and local prohibitions on the carrying of concealed firearms; ”

    ain’t that some B.S.???

  52. Unfortunately, the actions taken by Olympic Arms, and now other manufactureres, will do nothing to hinder the ability of State and local LE agencies to procure arms and ammunition. Ask yourselves this, “Why has the Fed government acquisistioned unprecedented amounts of arms and ammo?” Answer: so it can supply the State and local agencies with what they need, as long as the States they are in comply with the current administrations anti-2nd Amendment agenda, by passing more draconian gun laws.

LE Agencies within those States that do not comply with this administrations agenda won’t get squat.

The arms manufacturing companies can’t cut off the Fed government, they’ll be seized by the Fed if they try. The Fed gets 1st dibs on all deliveries of arms and ammo, the State and local LE agendies are next in line. The general public gets to suck on hind teat, if one is available. It appears the the Fed government is doing all it can to dry up that hind teat.

  53. i am glad that the stand was made. but we got to make a bigger stand. have most people forgot about ww2? remember what happen when hilter took control? remember what happen to millions of people who let things just go? what about what happen to out people for stopping this? if a stand is not made we will be like the ones before us in eruope. this stand of not selling rifles is the first step. as we refuse to do business with people who has that mind set it might open things up. mag pull is in the same boat also in colorado. as the bill of limited rounds in a magazine. the is also other big companies pushing and funding the bills—check your insurance companies for one. as we make a stand it is the old saying all for one and one for all. i love this country and i love alot of things in this country and i dont want to lose it

  54. Speaking as both a retired police officer and firearm enthusiast, I fully support the position to NOT support ANY organization that would deprive any law-abiding, responsible citizen of his or her rights, period.

  55. I own a Sig 556 Tactical Swat and though that has no bearing on the issue other than I do not shoot an AR-15, I am on board 100% with any boycott of any government entity that has taken an unconstitutional stand against law abiding American citizens! I have had enough of Obama and the rest of his ass kissing socialist followers. This not the beginning of his socialist agenda and his disrespect and disregard for our constitution. I submit to all who read this and all Americans, that this is only the beginning of the far left bringing down the values that made this country great. RESIST! RESIST! RESIST! WE face the greatest challenge to our liberty as afforded by the constitution since the cold war. Obama must go.

  56. I really appreciate this courageous stand by Olympic Arms. I don’t think this will hurt their business at all. It’s nice to see a business who will stand up for what is right.

  57. Hello, It is nice to read something positive about our plight as gun owners! My state of delaware is also trying to initiate a gun ban and I have been e-mailing state and federal legislators every since Sandyhook and they all seem to say the same thing that the majority of americans want gun contol, How can this be everyone I talk to think the government is over-reaching its authority and have you tried to buy a bullet or firearm lately? impossible! I am a collector and do have an olympic arms weapon in my collection yet but I intend to in the near future and kudos to Olympic Arms!!!! Alan D. Reed

  58. Glad to see Olympic stand up for us second amendment types. Hopefully, other manufacturers will follow. When all the police of those cities and states can no longer get the most modern weapons, they will force the politicians to change the laws. I am hoping also that Washington State isn’t one of the many that are still pushing this stupidity.

  59. My concern has, and always will be, with the results of restriction of the 2nd Amendment. I feel limits on mags, assault weapons, size, etc. are just “cover” to the full removal of all weapons from the hands of the citizenry and just plain invasion of privacy with more and more “registration rules”. I applaud Olympic Arms for their stand, but it will take more than refusal to sell to the government or its agencies to stem the onslaught against the 2nd and even the 1st Amendment. The Chinese Communists, Adolph Hitler, Ferdinand Marcos, and Joseph Stalin, to name a few, eliminated weapons in the hands of its citizens and what did it get them – martial law at best, and full scale tyranny at worst. Mexico is in full chaos as the only people having weapons are corrupt police, untrustworthy military, and the drug cartels – this could happen here with the Federal Government we current have. We must be vigilant lest we wind up with a police state under the guise of “protecting the citizens” from each other. Gun control will NEVER prevent a massacre such as seen in Connecticut. Be forewarned. Olypmic Arms – keep up the fight!

  60. You go Olympic arms stand up and fight for the people of new York. The people here in Washington st care for the people of new York. Even if there government does not thank you d.brown

  61. Bravo! Olympia. Its companies like your that I will gladly do business with in the future. Please pardon the pun, but “stick to your guns”. May our God bless you.

  62. I applaud all the gun manufacturers that are taking a stand in support of the 2nd Amendmnent rights of all American citizens and refusing to do business with Gov’t agencies that are supporting the repressive gun laws currently being put forth by ‘uneducated’ lawmakers such as diane Fienstein.
I am happy to say the my state of Va is not going to bow down to these restrictive and unconstitutional guns laws. I urge everyone to support the NRA and all the gun manufacturers in their valiant efforts to stop this madness!

  63. Funny that the FOP hasn’t published this letter in any gun magazine, website or newspaper. Guess loss of advertising dollars and membership has limited their financial resources. I know that at least a portion of their membership had elected to cancel their membership as a result of the FOP support of the ban. Notice that the letter makes no mention of ban on magazines or universal registration. Also interesting that the letter blames the Grand Lodge, but not the local LE lodges which just happen to be whom the Grand Lodge supposedly represents.

  64. Ronnie Barrett was first; he told California that if their CITIZENS could not own one of his. 50 caliber monsters he would not sell to or support California’s current Barrett’s.

That is the first of which I am aware. He, like Olympic Arms and CTD deserve our support as loyal customers.

Write, call, and VISIT your government officials and state your opinion politely but FIRMLY.BE PREPARED TO STAND BY YOUR WORDS WITH YOUR MONEY, YOUR VOTES, AND YOUR ACTION IF REQUIRED. That is what our Founders did;they risked everything for LIBERTY, we can do no less else we be counted as sheep.

  65. I am very proud to be an Olympic firearms owner. It is my pleasure to support Olympic Arms in this stand for our rights. Let us be ever aware of who else has the courage to join them. Thank you Olympic Arms for being what we all should be, PROUD AMERICANS!

  66. I thank Olympic Arms, CTD and all others who stand tall in the face of the evil facing our (formerly) great nation. I promise to support companies and organizations with my money by purchasing exclusively from the same. Politicians who stand with the people, supporting the Constitution will continue to receive my vote. As a recently retired Marine Corps officer I stand with the Constitution, and law abiding Citizens against any person or entity that attempts to usurp the God given Rights set forth in the Bill of Rights.

  67. New York is a cess pool of crime and vice anyway. As for the FOP, I support those individual law enforcement Officer’s who support their Constitutional obligations and are not rogue types out to abuse their power. The majority of individual Officer’s embrace lawful gun ownership, the gun culture and are not on a power trip. The FOP as an organization, however, is apparently a different matter and out of touch with main stream America. Come to Texas where responsible gun ownership and culture is embedded. Texas would surely welcome any and all manufacturer’s to our borders. As for Olympic Fireamrs, HOORAH! for your not bowing down to those who believe power rests centrally in this Country. The power of this Country lies within her people, WE THE PEOPLE, who empower our leader’s to represent our interest and not their own narrow minded agendas. WE THE PEOPLE, also have the right to remove these so-called political leacership types as well by VOTE or IMPEACHMENT, if need be. Contact your Governor, State Representatives in the Congress and Senate, also those in the Federal Government at all levels and tell them you’re tired of the saber rattling anti-gun rattling of Mr. Obama, Mr. Biden, Mr. Bloomberg, Ms. Pelosi, and of course Ms. Feinstein of California. At least for the time being, we still have the right to contact those we elected into office…so, my suggestion is to exercise your right!

  68. Way to go Olympic Arms …. All 2nd Amendment supporters need to make every effort to support and do their business with companies that take such a strong stand to uphold our individual freedoms!

  69. Gentlemen, please;
Irresponsible threats of revenge &/or violence are the fodder upon which they feed, as an excuse to proclaim their right to confiscate our weapons. [reference
Christopher Dorner as our most recent very unfortunate example] Realize, most peace officers are gunners not unlike ourselves; they stand with us as brothers & sisters in our cause. {From a personal perspective, I must defend First Responders specifically as certainly innocent of complicity with the government’s despicable atrocity in its position. We are perpetually prohibited from exerting our right to self-defense, as evidenced by the travesty against the firefighters up north some months ago. God Bless Them!) Many, if not most [law enforcement] organizations have realized and affirmed that their oath requires them to “uphold the Constitution of these United States” and have thus distanced themselves, explicitly (sometimes profoundly and publicly) or otherwise, from the positions of the current federal “administration”. Let us agree, then, our right to self defense is itself largely justified by our assurance of sensibility, stability and righteousness. Let us not shoot a hole in our own canoe…

  70. Amen, and thank you Olympic. arms for fighting against the tyrranical actions of Obama,
Feinstein, Biden, Bloomberg and their cronies! I echo the sentiments of my fellows above in hoping other gun manufacturers join you historic movent.

  71. Kudos for standing up for your and our rights, both as a citizen, and a businessman. Some of the major manufacturers got into bed with Government and Law enforcement back in the 1980’s, and it almost killed the industry. I hope the other manufacturers will follow your brave stance and follow with their own proclamations. Well done, sir.

  72. Let’s all get in contact with the BIG suppliers of the government oppression forces. Letters to COLT, GLOCK, S&W, and all the traditional suppliers – urge them to get on board with Olympic, CTD, and LaRue.

If the people can’t have it – neither can the police!

  73. I think someone needs to start a website that keeps citizens informed of companies who have adopted this buisness policy. That way consumers can buy with confidence knowing that companies they buy their products from are supporting the second amendment. In turn it should also let us know what organizations besides the obvious culprits are trying to help infinge upon our second amendment rights. I don’t know about others here but I had no idea that the FOP had taken such an active role in trying to wreck the second amendment. Shame on them, the officers involved in this organization and those who support them with donations have to let them know this kind of crap is unacceptable and will not be tolerated period.

  74. congratulations Olympic Arms,

congratulations Olympic Arms thats what all the other gun, ammo and gun accessories companies need to do.We must all stick together in this fight.I have bought some of your products along with other companies, such as Colt, Arma Lite, Smith Wesson, and other companies.I call on them to step up as you have. In my next purchases i will be going your way.Keep up the good work

    Thank you Scott

  75. I can only hope that “ALL” gun and ammunition manufacturers will take the same stand against any state that imposes a ban on any gun, magazine or ammunition.

  76. This is great, we need more companies to do this. Companies need to move out of unfriendly states. As I also will be moving if ridiculous gun control legislation gets passed in Minnesota. We all need to make a stand to protect our Second Amendment rights. It’s not just about guns anymore, legislators will be coming for more and more restrictions of our rights until we have none. When will people open their eyes and see through all the lies and deceptions that are being spread. When it’s to late and your rights are gone and this great land of the free is turnned into a dictatorship and government is in control of everything. People need to wake up.

  77. BRAVO!!!! So proud of your company!!! Thank you fro taking a stand! I will make it my business to do business with your company and any others that stand with you!!!! BRAVO!!!!

  78. The FOP in Phoenix claimed it’s members supported gun control. It was a big lie. They never polled it’s membership. When I called them on it they couldn’t even respond intelligently. I quit the FOP and the PLEA (Phoenix Law Enforcement Assn) for the same reason.

Good for you Cheaper Than Dirt and Olympic Arms!

  79. I would like to thank Olympic Arms for their stand and any other company that will do the same. If we can all stick together through this, we might just win.

  80. Good for you.I have not purchased any of your products in the past but I most certainly will in the future.Stand your ground and do not give in.

  81. Congratulations, Olympic Arms!!! The government and policing forces of this once great country are engaged in a vicious campaign of terror and ethnic cleansing against gun owners, Christians and Caucasians and their first step in this process is the disarmament of any and ALL who will resist. This is the Communist/Nazi way of controlling those who would not be controlled….these folks have taken lessons from the shitstains of history (Robespierre. Stalin, Hitler, Himmler, Mao, Dzherzinski and Beria) and intend to impose Godless tyranny upon every living being in the United States…when the killing starts – remember to AIM LOW!!! Better to die on our feet as free men than in the dungeons of a Federal or State Prison…the FEAR of death is WORSE than death itselof!!! God Bless America…and may all it’s enemies die Brutally, Barbarously, Violently and Viciously!!!

  82. Thank you Brian Schuetz,Thomas A. Spithaler, and Olympic Arms as a whole. I hope that all firearm manufacturers and dealers will follow suit. It is great to see a company that puts morals over profit.

  83. This is great news for two reasons, first, I’m impressed with the courage and integrity of Olympic Arms, second if they don’t sell to NY or FOP personell them aybe they can fill their backlog and I can buy one of their rifles.

  84. Colt, Ruger, Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, Remington, Ithaca, DMPS…..and more. Where are you? Why do you not take this same stand, and make it known? We are your bread and butter.

  85. I have always, in the past, supported the FOP. I am so upset that my donations were being used to support ani-gun laws. They will never get another cent from me nor my family nor anyone with whom I have any influence. Thank you very much for your stand. I shall stand right with you.

  86. I have an additional suggestion along the lines of what Olympic Arms is doing: the ammunition manufacturers should refuse to sell ammunition to government agencies.
Most ammunition buys are solicited through the internet bidding system that the government agencies use. My suggestion is the manufacturers, such as ATK, Olin, and the others simply “no-bid” the Homeland Security, BATF, IRS and ALL government solicitations. Of course the next step for the government would be IRS and DOJ investigations, etc.. I guess the next step for the government would then be seizure of the ammunition manufacturing facilities, and on to a Fascist state.
    Just saying……..

  87. Mr.Schuetz…You Sir are a man of Honor in my book for taking this stand against this tyrannical govt! I applaud you and have the deepest respect for what you have started. This could very well be the kick start America needs to set things right.
    God Bless…

  88. I feel this is a good stand to take. .even though i did lose a lil respect for cheaper then dirts “updated” prices …prices increased substantially …. lets not forget its the citizens that buys that make a company great … and there should be a reciprocating of appreciation from companys … by stabilizeing prices … and not jumping on the wave of price gouging ….

  89. Thank you for taking this stand. I know this action will cost you. But this needs to be done to let them know we stand together in this. If the officers standing side by side in photo ops with vp Biden or sen. Feinstine are not members of the FOP and they don`t speak for the FOP. Then I think the FOP should issue a statement saying so. After all when you see a wrong and do not correct it, you give it creedence and it then becomes a truth.

  90. I too applaud Olympic Arms. I encourage other manufacturers to take a similar position. And now I encourage every individual to do likewise as well. We need to vote with our pocketbook. We need to write letters to the businesses and legislators of states who are attacking our rights and let them know we intend to cease all business within the boundaries of their state. While this may be harmful to some businesses which are in our camp, we must limit the tax revenues going to their tyrannical governments. After that we need to start pressuring our local law enforcement agencies who are supportive of the tyranny as well. Here in Iowa the sheriff’s association has been one of the strongest supporters of gun control. We need to pressure our local governments to stop funding these associations. Get involved and make a difference!

  91. Bold move for a business. I can say i will purchase and even willing to pay a little more to purchase from Olympic. On a side note, what would our founding fathers do? What would the same people who went to war over a five cent tax do if there governing body decided to disarm and return them to servitude?

  92. I Thank you for supporting 2nd amendment rights and putting principles before dollars.I know this will cost you some business from New York.
The American people need to understand the real reason for the second amendment was not to arm hunters and sportsman but to guarantee the right of the people to protect themselves from tyranny from foreign aggressors AS WELL AS THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT. History has shown that all dictatorships began with outlawing of civilian gun ownership.
When I am able to purchase an AR-15 type weapon, I will certainly keep you in mind.

Thank You for setting an example I hope others will follow,

  93. FOP can deny all they want but yhey eere there to kiss Feinsteins and other politicos ass.
They lnew and agreed to be stage props hoping to by foing so gain more financing snd cheap eeaponry and training for their officersI am sick and tired of hearing all thid macho BS by military men on how they protect liberty and its time for them to put up or shut up

Wr had a 2nd Amendment rally in Oly WA that was a total farse and a washout by lack of attendees.and p-poor organizers.
IN The most densley populated area on the Wedt voast; Sea/Tac/Oly of retired molitary I have but one question to ask; EHERE THE HRLL ERRE YOU ON THAT DAY?
Why don’t you tell the state of Washington you fo not want SPECIAL EXEMPTIONS ovrr what the ordinary citizen wjen it comes to weapons?
AFter all it was and now is on your watch that the Constitution you swore to uphold is almost dead and hone.
Oly Arms is a buosness whosr owners are walking with leadtts of ginance and politicos in Oly.
Yheir weapons are not even heavily sold to LE in this state by direct means but through little stores who are mostly flag waving cop shops.
We are so screwed in WA and one of the bills supported by LE is handing over the stats and fres collected o the Health Dept, the greates ant gun group in state.
Yet it grants exemptions to the very organizations who will collect revenue and track weaponry even when retired the ability to pass on the guns and possess ehat ordinary citizens eoll mot be allowed to do.
One bill wants once a year your home to be inspected by an official that can be from Dept of Health.

Then we got NRA state rep the one who most helped the Republican sponsting the bills already making compromizes.
That and also the only group gor the little guy are the ones who have cash free of tax vendors ay gun shows and dealers who know they can price houge us not worried about our fees.
OLY owes it to its workers yo kiss military sndcops ass and to try to get their states contracts and military as well.
It makes no sense to not glow eoth yhe times and the times call for making money.

  94. Kudos to Olympic! They will be getting business from me in the future, and I hope all of their contemporaries follow suit. Don’t forget to contact your representatives weekly to let them know you oppose any and all new laws restricting our second amendment rights, and that if they vote for any such legislation that you will do all you can to make sure they lose their next election.

Also, guys, please, the comments about “coming for you” and “blowing their heads off” do not help our cause. It makes the gun grabbers’ job of portraying us in a negative light all the easier. Be the better man or woman and show some class.

  95. (Tips hat)…..GREAT idea. Would Love to see other manuf. follow suit in your plan. Would be interested to see how LE would ‘obtain’ them after they were banned from obtaining them…….

  96. Thanks Olympic Arms! Now if ammunition manufactures would only follow your example and stop or reduce sales to government entities that support this type of legislation.

It’s worth wondering what the Department of Homeland Security intends to use all the ammunition they’re buying, but regardless of their intentions, the impact on private sales serves as an public sale embargo. Maybe that was their intention in the first place.

  97. MANY thanks to Oly Arms, Larue Tactical and CTD. Sometimes you just have to draw a line in the sand and so NO FARTHER! You all will be receiving my business from now on. Now lets get S/W,Remington,Glock and Colt onboard. Then you will start to see some rethinking of this I think. P.S. Please vote these people like Bloomberg and Cuomo out of office!

  99. Just reviewed post #62. If the letter from the FOP has been pasted in entirety and without revision, it makes me go hmmmmm!

Quote…”We cannot confirm if any of the officers that appeared with Senator Feinstein at her press conference were members of the FOP, but we can affirmatively deny they were not there to indicate support for the FOP as an organization for any of the legislation she has introduced to date on this topic.”.

It sounds like doublespeak to me. consider the words “deny” and “not”, and how they are used. the word “not”, as in we can deny they were “not” there to indicate support…for Feinstein’s legislation. If they are denying that they were not there to support Feinstein, then they are acknowledging that they WERE there to support her.

  100. I’ll probably get banned for this, but maybe some will read it before it’s censored!! Commenters above made mention about how other manufacturers will step into the void left by those manufacturers with morals. This makes me laugh (cringe)! CTD sent me an email a few weeks back, trying to sell me magazines, with prices 3 to 6 times higher than normal. Pmags for example at $50 to $60 each!!!! That’s just one example. Although CTD is hosting this thread, I wonder who is hosting their morals??!!??

  101. Thank You Olympic Arms for supporting “The People” and educating me!! I now promise that the next AR I buy.. will be an Olympic Arms!
    Now get to building more.

  102. As of February 16, 2013, Iron Goat Guns of Quanah, Texas will not sell any items to any agencies prohibiting or restricting sales of these same items to private citizens. This policy includes items under NFA rules such as short-barreled rifles and shotguns, suppressors, AOW’s, and machine guns.

If a Chief Law Enforcement Officer will not sign Form 4’s for private citizens in his or her jurisdiction, Iron Goat Guns will not transfer NFA items to that agency. If future rules and and policies in any jurisdiction further restrict private ownership of any related items, weapons, or accessories, Iron Goat Guns will expand its prohibitions on agency sales.

The owners of Iron Goat guns are pleased to join other companies in pushing back against those who would infringe on Second Amendment Rights. We urge all citizens and companies to enact similar policies. Further, we will support NO organization supporting any further restrictions on private ownership of weapons, accessories, or ammunition.

  103. As a police officer, my initial response was “good for Olympia Arms” (and others taking similar stands). And then embarrassment for being an FOP member. I though- surely my local lodge does not support this Biden Gun Grab. My inquiry received an identical response to that of John from Wyoming, comment #62 (I won’t repost the entire thing). I can tell you I’ve had many discussions with co-workers & I’m not sure who the Feds will get to enforce their gun grab, since more and more law enforcement officials have come out in support of the 2nd Amendment and public refusal to enforce any violation of it. Many of us are stocking up our personal gun safes. Stay strong and stay vocal- we are the majority!

  105. I will go out of my way to support Olympic Arms now! I would hope that ALL firearms related manufacturers would follow Olympic’s lead. Now that would be a wake-up call for the the govt.

  106. To my recollection Washington State is one of the banned states, Olympic Arms don’t you think it’s time to relocate to a state where its government and people support our constitutional rights. Keep in mind the Boeing Company considered Texas as its #2 of choices to relocate from Washington to Texas.

  107. Just when I was beginning to think the fabric of American integrity amd American rights were a thing of the past. A company and individual stands up for what they believe in, not what is most profitable. I salute your patriotic action.

  108. Olympic Arms has just earned my respect as a business and as a source of my recreational firearm needs. I will in the future be purchasing parts and weapons from manufacturers that take this type of position against the tyranny we are experiencing.

Thank you Olympic Arms for leading the way to clearing the second amendment from all the attacks being made on it from the left!

  109. congratulations to Olympic arms and all the companies taking a stand against these fascist leeches! We are not good enough to own so called assault weapons, but we are good enough to be asked for our money!

  110. This is the response I just received from the FOP.

The information posted on the Olympics Arms Facebook page is inaccurate.

It is true that, in August 1993, the delegates assembled at the 51st National Biennial Conference in Louisville, KY adopted Resolution No. 6 on a 1,516 to 1,073 vote. The Resolution called for the Grand Lodge to support H.R. 1472/S. 639, the “Anti-drug Assault Weapons Limitation Act of 1993,” which would prohibit the importation and manufacture of certain military assault weapons. This Resolution is still binding on the Grand Lodge and the National Legislative Program.

However, current proposals, like the ones offered by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) go well beyond the scope of the 1994 and, as National President Chuck Canterbury stated in the most recent issue of the FOP Journal, it is not a goal of the FOP to support an expansion of the original 1994 statute (which expired in 2004).

It is also true that the FOP has met with Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. as well as a Congressional working group chaired by Representative Michael Thompson (D-CA). The FOP, along with numerous other groups and organizations representing law enforcement, firearms manufactures, gun rights, and others provided feedback on the issues of gun violence and school safety. No specific legislative language was proffered or approved by the Grand Lodge.

It is completely false that the FOP has endorsed any Federal legislation currently pending that would institute a ban on any particular type or style of firearm.

We cannot confirm if any of the officers that appeared with Senator Feinstein at her press conference were members of the FOP, but we can affirmatively deny they were not there to indicate support for the FOP as an organization for any of the legislation she has introduced to date on this topic.

    I hope this information helps.

  111. Thank you for this article. I am very frustrated that any of my hard earned dollars should support such biased organizations and without your pointing out this atrocity, I would be blindly continuing to do so.

  112. way to go olympic now we all need to follow suit and hit goverment where it hurts . call your stooges in office and let them know you’ll vote against all their rules .

  113. This is the letter that I sent to the FOP board of directors and legislative branch:

    National Fraternal Order of Police
    701 Marriott Dr
    Nashville, TN 37214

Subject: Removal of my FOP Supporter sticker from my business

    To Whom It May Concern:

It has come to my attention that your organization is named in the congressional record as an architect of the 1994 so called Assault Weapons Ban(AWB) and has been instrumental in the formulation of Vice-President Biden’s so called Assault Weapons Ban legislation.
I am hereby notifying you that, although I would like to support the men and women in uniform who help keep our communities safe, I can no longer in good conscience support your organization. Today I am removing the sticker that you provided for the front door of my business showing my support for your mission.
The reason for this protest is clear, but I will illustrate it to you so that you can understand what the consequences of your actions are.
The purpose of the Second Amendment is to avoid tyranny and it is that simple. As long as the people bear arms the government will have to fear them and there is a good chance that the government will remain “of the people and for the people.” Since absolute power corrupts absolutely it should be clear as to why this amendment supports all of the others in our Bill of Rights. Having pointed this out, it is clear to me that your organization’s stance has either forgotten this precept or is not aware of it. By doing so, your organization has shown prejudice against a class of citizens. Any weapons ban against law abiding citizens is simply illustrating a bias of one group over another, those whom the government deems worthy of defending with modern arms and those whom the government deems unworthy.
As long as government entities have modern arms, the citizens of this country must maintain that same level of defense. That is the point of the second amendment and that must not be forgotten.
Please review the FBI’s criminal statistics to see that the 1994 AWB had no affect on reducing gun violence. Your support of such legislation is not only biased, but truly a sham if your purpose should be the reduction of gun violence.
I will inform those who represent your organization of this stance when they again call me requesting a donation until such time as your organization stands down from such a biased position.

  114. Congratulations Olympic Arms!!! Let’s hope that more/all the arms manufacturers follow suit. But, wait…let’s take this ‘fresh air’ a bit further. Wouldn’t it be great if the ammunition manufacturers would do the same. How about another step further…What if all the FFL dealers would refuse to deal under the same [Olympic] principles! Let’s stop contributing to the FOP and/or their like, and let them know why. I know, I know…that when we get into trouble, typically the first person we call is ‘the police’and we don’t want to bite the hand that sometimes feeds us. I understand, but a show of counter strength is required all down the line and we should be vocal and NOT silent. I suggest that in our contacts with our FFL dealers and all others, we specifically and clearly tell them to follow the Olympic Arms guidlines in doing business! Simple starts can make great endings.

  115. DB Cooper has it right. If ammo mfgrs and distributors quit
selling ammo to states such as New York they would quickly
come around. Bravo to Olympic Arms & CTD.

  116. I want to thank Olympic Arms for the courage they have shown by these two announcements. I hope all other firearm manufacturers follow the lead of Olympic Arms.

  117. I thankyou for this decission and hope and pray to our GOOD LORD that every – EVERY firearm related company will follow suit and also ammunition supplyer\.
It is way past time we ALL stand up and take our country back from the criminals in government whether state or federal after all just who IS THEIR EMPLOYER??

  118. I support Olympic Arms for this bold decision. I hope other manufacturers will follow their lead. We need to stand together on this. Thank you Olympic Arms.

  119. Thomas A. Spithaler you are a great American but what in the hell is a great company as yours doing in the socialist state of Washington?
It’s a beatiful state but their are other beautiful states that espouse freedom. Please move and take Boeing with you. That socialist non- right to work state does NOT deserve both of those great compainies. Look at Boeing and all the trouble it had from the thugs from the NRLB. Just get out. You don’t need this agrivation. Take care of it once and for all and move to freedom loving, constitutional conservative state and flourish.

  120. Thank God someone with some manhood is standing up to these people. I hope LaRue and the rest stop all sales and support to the states passing these messures and immediately stops supporting the FOP. Every Gun and Ammo Manufacturer should do the same thing. Stop selling to all governmental organizations in those states and also any 2nd party retail/wholesale dealers.

  121. I do not currently own a Olympic Arms Gun , But after reading their position , I will go out and get one in support of this stance . Way to go Olympic Arms . And by the way Please relocate in My state .

  122. Now, that’s “fighiting fire with fire”!! It’s about time that ALL gun & freedom lovers take a stand– we either hang together OR we hang seperately!!!

  123. Wrong move!
Shift production into making special law enforcement and military commemorative and judicial only models.
With very little reworkin of tooling and in conjunction with plastic parts suppliers one could male a dlimmed down fixed. 3 rnd mag BB Gin for the rest of the minor citizenry.
Just kidding on BB gun it can have a 50 or 100 rnd tubular mag and just like the old days we could pour the BB’s in our mouth and rapid reload em.

  124. Thank you Olympic Arms and Cheaper Than Dirt for making a stand against this out of control government, Federal and State. We all must make a stand now before the government outlaws standing

  125. Thank you Mr.Brian Schuetz, and Mr.Thomas A. Spithaler for taking a stand with us here in New York. I do believe that the virus these people have will spread across america if we dont stand together. I do not own an Olympic rifle but when the formula is giving to these virus infected knomes, and they are back to reality, Olympic Arms will be my next AR15. what they did to us here in NY isnt all about the guns, its about individuals stepping up and taking rights away from the people who voted for them. How dare they!! They all should be arrested!! Cuomo made a big mistake here NY, and I hope he finds in his little brain to come out and make common sense laws, with out unarming the citizens that voted for him. I take my hat off to Olympic Arms for taking the 1st step on helping us here in NY. Keep up the fight and I urge every gun owner in America to take NY as an example because viruses spread and your state could be next. Support your local officials that have your back, and support Olympic Arms for shooting..
Shoot safe and shoot straight…..Doug S. from NY

  126. I think that is great, we all need to stand together. The government wants it both ways. I will not support any group that does not support the 2nd Amendment. I feel sorry for the good people of New York State. The only way to change that is by voting the suckers out.

  127. Thank you! Will you do the same with the State of Connecticut, which has had a ban on “assault weapons” for years and is looking to make its gun control laws much stricter?

  128. In my opinion, I commend Olympic for the stance they take. Perhaps if ALL arms & arms / accessories manufacturers, distributors,wholesale/retail outlets did the same, the law abiding citizens of New York would find a way to oust Bloomberg & his sheep.

  129. It is about time that an organization with its roots in capitalism is willing to make the sacrifice to take a position against the mounting government movement which is doing everything possible to limit our rights. It seems that due process means nothing anymore, when an “executive order” can be used to make law and policy changes at will. I hope that enough people and corporations send the message that keeping law abiding citizens from owning guns will never be the solution, neither will limiting our rights of freedom. If our society cannot differentiate between its citizens with mental defect, it says volumes about how all of the giveaway programs created by a giveaway government and funded by hard working people are failing us. I hope there are enough people left who will get up off their duff and make a statement. Thanks to Olympic for doing something on behalf of all who enjoy their freedoms!

  130. Thank you for going the extra mile helping the people of this great country called the United States of America with it’s fight for the second amendment and the Bill of Rights etc.when I went to school we had a civics class teaching us the above mentioned rights.Today in our schools they teach [in plain English] socialism.Look at sports in school there are no winners or losers everyone is equal everything is PC all this and more is delivered to our children and grandchildren by union teachers this is what I have personally seen happening to America it must stop now or we are lost as a free country and in closing I’ll add that they all want a free ride from the government it’s sickening but I pray it’s not to late to reverse the damage! As the Irish say may you be in Heaven before the devil knows your gone.
    good luck to us all!?

  131. I would like to say, that I am grateful for companies and leaders of companies like Olympic Arms for their thoughts and efforts to protect my rights as a lawful citizen of the United States of America. I feel much better after reading these two statements and will make it a point to buy Olympic Arms products, just as soon as my rights here in New York are restored. Those responcible for passing these misquided laws, must soon be looking for other jobs , hopefully in a capacity that will not allow them to control others ways in life.
In shor, I applaud and fully support Olympic Arms, Inc. and will pass this information on to all my friends and ask them to do the same.

  132. I commend Olympic Arms, Inc. All firearms and ammunition manufacturing companies in the United States of America should follow in this action.

    1. Rufuse to sell any firearms or ammo to any law inforcement agency, department or
    any person associated with them.

    2. Refuse to sell any firearms or ammo to any department of the Government of The
    United States of America.

Would the Founding Fathers have armed the British Redcoats? Would Paul Revere sell gun powder to British Generals? Would Patrick Henry, President and General George Washington, President Thomas Jefferson, etc. agree with this decision? You bet they would.

If Americans support this movement with the same effort as they did with Chick-Fil-A we could make a huge statement against gun-grabbers across this Great Nation.

It is time to wake Americans up and get their heads out of their asses.

Hurray and all cheers to Olymic Arms, Inc.

  133. Your company should be commended on taking action against those who are trying to strip our God given rights. Congratulations on your commitment and dedication to us patriotic Americans. Think about going one step further in giving vouchers for a discount to every patriot in New York that when we get this atrocity repealed, they can purchase a large capacity magazine from your great organization. Just a thought.

  134. As a decorated combat veteran and member of our armed services, I commend Olympic Arms for their stance. It is high time that we take a responsible, accurate and adult stance on the mishandling of our Constitutional Guarantees. If our Politicians and Law Enforcement have the responsibility of keeping our nation and our society safe, surely they should be able to understand and support our Right, our need and our demand that we remain free in our ability to Keep and Bear Arms. Restrictions of any type, only serve to unbalence the power of the people, to protect themselves from home, state and even national invasion; and moreover, to retain the time honored and God given right to keep ourselves free from tyranny. It is easy for a politician to use their position to enfluence the media and various organizations, or to even effect policy with the initial intention of whatever good intent… however it takes only one time, for a political body, having refused a free people the right to preserve their inherrent freedoms, to act in a manner as such that would not only restrict those rights, but tilt the balance of power, turning upon the very people they serve.

It has been argued that we should become more like Europe, more socialistic, more “peaceable”; however, peaceable is what those of us who observe our rights and even some minor restrictions (however unconstitutional they may be) truly are. We seek not to disturb our neighbor, nor to do harm to anyone who has not first shown intent to take our life, liberty or persuit of happiness. We have the duty, as AMERICANS, to preserve our liberty at all cost. This is what we swore as Veterans, Sheriffs and Law Enforcement Officers. And any of us who would turn against that oath, is not only disloyal to their nation, but is without honor and integrity.

Those who would be so inclined as to think that our nation is more exempt from tryanny or acts of treason, than another, are mere sheep, bleating in the winds of complacency. Our heritage as Natives to this land, Immigrants, New commers, demands that we remain the one true “last-bastion” of freedom left on this planet. Many people of other nations have stated time and again, “don’t let our fate become yours, America.” Well, are we heading that call? Or are our people so inclined as to be forced back into the hands of chains and slavery? The call to arms is sounded and heard… not necessarily the call to use arms, though that is exactly the intent behind the 2nd Amendment. We seek peaceable means to ensure that our rights are preserved for our posterity, in their entirety, but we boldly hold these words to be true that, “This we’ll defend!”

  135. Way to go Olympic….We applause you and will be doing a lot more business with you…AT A BOY !! We hope all others will follow your GREAT AMERICAN ATTITUDE. Sincerely ,Samuel L England

  136. Unfortunately I am living under the tyranical control of Dictator Cuomo. In the event that New York’s new gun legislation gets overturned I will purchase and Olympic Arms AR-15 the minute one is available me to me.

  137. As I see it the firearms industry has only two choices, neither are going to be easy to digest. They can join together and dry up the supply to New York State and other states considering such legislation and take a sizable financial loss. Or, they can go with the flow and do nothing, and lose it all. I’m talking an end to the entire industry. I suggest that every firearms company, importer, ammunition maker, all who are even remotely involved in the shooting sport. Pool their financial resources and fight these socialists. Fight them to the bitter end. We who support the Constitution of the United States are Americans. All others are merely American citizens by right of birth, nothing more. They are NOT TRUELY AMERICANS.

A couple of weeks ago I received a reply to a comment I made on the left wing Liberal Yahoo news website. The individual suggested that all us gun nuts leave this country and start one of our own. My reply was that we already did, it’s called America. That being a historical fact who should leave where?

  138. Thank you for being a voice in the wilderness. I will endeavor to avail myself of your product(s) at every opportunity.

  139. I applaud your decision and hope that all firearms manufacturers follow your lead. I also hope you and other firearms manufacturers join with you and expand this action to include warnings to its dealers about supplying The New York State of California’s government agencies with replacement parts and any other repairs to their weapons, also including ammunition bullet proof vests and any and all other accessories. Unless all in your industry, including importers, join together to dry up the supply of such items. Your actions will not succeed. Granted, it will be expensive and take a while. But if you cannot stop N.Y in their efforts to disarm the American people. Their on going effort to bring about the creation of a socialist state will only grow. If they tell you and your dealers that they have the Constitutional right to purchase such weapons. Tell them you also have the right to violate the Constitution and you’ll see them in court. I wish you the best of luck and totally support your campaign.

  140. Good for you, Olympic Arms! I encourage similar responses from other manufacturers and dealers.

On a related note, I’ve noticed that the anti-gun crowd, and bloggers reading from their “playbook,” keep saying things like: “The NRA is in the pocket of the gun manufacturers, and they are pushing gun “rights” in order to sell more guns.” I hope that actions like this one by Second Amendment supporters will continue to spread. It shows the anti-gun “playbook” for what it is: The Big Lie.

  141. Being a police officer I am shocked at the FOP… for one asking what they did and second for supporting something that is so much against the Laws set forth by our founding fathers. I could go in to a long winded statment, but you said it perfectly in your statment… i support your actions and hope others will too!

  142. I always thought Olympic delivered a quality product at a great price. Now I know the character behind their product as well. Thank you Olympic. Truly outstanding job!

  143. I am very impressed with Olympic Arms and support you 100% I commend Cheaper Than Dirt and La Rue Tactical for supporting you and will now only buy from companies that have taken your challenge and oath to protect this great country.

God Bless you and God Bless the United States

  144. And therefore the next weapon, ammunition or accessory I purchase, as a private citizen, will be made by Olympic Arms or by any other companies that adopt this policy.

  145. Cheers to Olympic arms!! (They Should copy that NY letter to California!) I think I’ll make my next AR purchase from Olympic. They shouldn’t have any trouble making up for any loss of sales to NY. Thanks Olympic!!

  146. I am impressed to see that your company has put the HONEST American ahead of the all mighty dollar. THANK you very much you have my support.

  147. Every company should be doing this for every single jurisdiction that says poopoo to the Second Amendment notjust New York. The battle lines have been drawn, don’t be late to the fight.

  148. This is the best to follow. We all deserve the option protecting our families. I will consider buying Olympic products first.

  149. In these watery, wimpy days these position statements by Olympic Arms are stunningly principled! Before this, I had considered my personal collection complete. Now I believe I must go shopping for an Olympian product if I am to consider myself no less principled than Olympic. Gentlemen, thank you!

  150. I thought both of the letters from Olympic Arms were great! Another great example of how you can vote more than once. First vote in all elections, second vote with where you spend your money, and then vote with who you accept as customers. And if that isn’t enough votes, then make know your views and actions to help educate others so that they may follow your lead.

  151. I totally agree that any state or federal agency that does not allow its citizens to be equally armed does not deserve to be able to buy arms and accessories that the common man can’t own.

This is America and we are equal to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government.

    Molon Labe

  152. I certainly understand the need to strike back at those that would violate the rights guaranteed in the second ammendment. However, I get the impression that at least in the case of New York, Olympic Arms has played right into their hands. New York doesn’t want those types of firearms in their state and now Olympic is obliging them.

  153. This is a courageous stance that Olympic Arms is taking and I applaud them for standing up to forces attempting to jeopardize our rights as citizens under the United States Constitution. I pray that other firearms companies and suppliers will do likewise.

This is not a time for the timid. If we do nothing we will get what we deserve. Olympic Arms has taken a big step forward and we need to do the same.

When I’m ready to buy an AR-15 I’ll be looking at the offerings from Olympic Arms first.

    Semper Fi,

  154. There will be no more Ft. Sumpters or Wacos.
We will not fire the first shot….but they want this war.
They believe they can win it.
We, who trained in the Sandbox, know they can’t.
We will apply Bill Clinton’s Serb rules of engagement.
They won’t see us…always behind them….a long way off…one or two blueshirts at a time. They still have to eat, piss and crap.
There are about 3 million of us; prepared to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the Republic.
The “living document” anti-Constitutionalists are the targets.
They should be arranging passage to a country of their choice, cause this ain’t it.
If you poke a Wolverine with a sharp stick, you’ll get your balls ripped off.
My advice; leave while you can…we’re coming for you.

  155. My deepest appreciation to those companies that are willing to take a hard line stand against the corrupt governments at all levels.

May you also deny any and all ‘warrantee’ repairs or replacements for those ‘tools of the trade’ to members of the various police, and other law enforcement agencies that work to deny the Rights of the Citizens.

    Again, THANK YOU

  156. Congrats, great stand….it’s time to line ALL democrats up. And blow their heads off….only matter of time before we begin takeover….

  157. I often feel that gun sellers are opportunist and in the past few months I believe it more and more I have seen price increases up to and over 150% on some items and rifles. Mostly everything that is in the cross hairs of Liberal Politian’s is now a cash cow for lots of people and gun sellers. I feel that other gun manufactures will simply move in on any and all markets it can get. So you are simply leaving them a bigger piece of the pie. I commend Brian Schuetz and im sure the completion dose as well

  158. Congratulations to Olympic Arms. I can only hope that their protest catches on with the other weapons and weapon accessory manufactures. I’d also like to see weapons manufactures in New York move their operations to a “gun friendly” state. I’m sure that Texas would offer tax advantages to a company like, say Remington Arms to move here, and we Texans would be happy with the economic growth in our state. It would be hard on the Remington employees in New York, but clearly the State Of New York doesn’t care about them.

  159. Congratulations to Olympic Arms. I can only hope that their protest catches on with the other weapons and weapon accessory manufactures.
