NSSF Response to President Obama’s “Exaggerated Claim Based in No Real Statistics”

Washington Post three pinocchios

The Washington Post recently awarded three Pinocchios to President Obama’s claim, “We flood communities with so many guns that it is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock than to get his hands on a computer or even a book.” and called it an, “Exaggerated claim based in no real statistics, which does nothing but distract the public.” The National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF), Larry Keane, also offered the following:

Last week’s memorial service in remembrance of the tragic deaths of five Dallas police officers was remarkable, but for all the wrong reasons. The service took a turn from memorializing to politicizing when President Obama decided to take advantage of this national platform and turn his memorial speech into yet another push for his political agenda. He implied the deaths of the police officers occurred because “we flood communities with so many guns that it is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock than to get his hands on a computer, or even a book.” The remark immediately earned Three Pinocchios from the Washington Post fact checker, which called it an “exaggerated claim based in no real statistics, which does nothing but distract the public.” And distraction is exactly the effect Obama’s statement had on the public, which simply took away from the real reason everyone gathered: to commemorate the lives of true heroes whose lives were taken too soon.

It is a shame that our nation’s leader would rather take advantage of his television air time to push his political agenda than pay respect to the fallen officers and share grieving with their families and the law enforcement community. But Obama is not a novice when it comes to employing this tactic of exploiting a tragedy for political purposes. And, I suppose it was to be expected since he told America after the Umpqua Community College tragedy last year that he intended to politicize these events.

National Shooting Sports Foundation Logo Our highly regulated industry is not “flooding” communities with guns. Criminals, not guns are what’s flooding communities like the President’s hometown of Chicago. In times like these where the President chooses to beat the drum on restricting Americans’ Second Amendment rights, it’s important to remember the facts. Violent crime continues its downward trend, even as the firearms market sees more and more growth over the past two decades. Placing blame on firearms for the criminal acts of terrorists and madmen cannot be justified by data.

It’s a shame that these victims could not be simply commemorated and their families, along with the Dallas community, could not mourn their losses without the President stooping to inject his self-serving political bias.  Will he repeat this tactic at the funerals of the slain Baton Rouge police officers and East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputy?  It will be equally off-point if he does, when even East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux said yesterday

“This is not so much about gun control as it is about what’s in men’s heart.”

We will soon find out.  Meanwhile, NSSF offers its sincere condolences to the families of the slain officers in both Dallas and Baton Rouge, and thank all members of law enforcement for their service and sacrifices to help keep our communities safe.

What are your thoughts? Did the Washington Post get it right? How about the NSSF’s Larry Keane? Share your opinion in the comment section.

  1. I hate to say this, but I know that Little Mike, dprato and I would do just fine busting caps together at the range or elk hunting in Alaska. Where we differ is in our approach to those with whom we disagree. An approach such as we see with Mr. Trump is to apply a facetious or sarcastic adverb before a person’s name like Lying Hillary or Little Marco. dprato refers to shooting intruders, Feds buying their own body bags and implying that those who disagree have not thought out their positions and need to do further research. Little Mike is less combative but still paints those who differ as a political ignorant. My belief and hope is that we can start to understand one another from our common ground first, that we all like to hunt, shoot, carry and probably reload, and will vigorously defend the second amendment. I will further venture that only a fool would attempt to enter one of our homes without an invitation; a damn fool and dead fool. That said, let us kick back, trust in one another, and ponder the ways we can keep weapons of all sorts out of the hands of those who would violate the intent of the second amendment, which is to keep the homeland safe. So may I be so bold as to call out a few names as I invite Tough DePrato and Big Little Mike to join DiamondBack Phil at the table of solutions?

  2. Just rereading what I said should be sufficient and yes it is quite alright that we disagree. I stand on all comments. You infringe on my Constitutional Rights and break into my home then you pay the consequences. I do not apologize for those sentiments.

  3. If Philip Mendershausen is a lifetime NRA Member you would think he knows better. Not sure how you can be a LIfetime Member with the NRA who publishes all the things they do and highlights legal use of firearms for self protection and offers all the pro firearms you have stated and then some. Not sure if he is for real or what but sounds like an anti gunner trying to show that his fellow gun owners are straight out of the wild west.
We go to a saloon, get drunk and then into the street to fire our guns in the air. Haven’t seen that in 70 years of life. You hit the nail on the head with everything you said and these folks need to know if you come take our firearms it is not going to be easy and it is not going to work and the more people who make that post the more likely it is it will not happen. The Feds besides buying outlandish amounts of ammo should be spending it on body bags for themselves because that is precisely where they will wind up if they violate the Constitutional Rights of the American People. We have had enough of this leftist crap and bullying and they better be very very careful whose side they decide to be on.

  4. Between knife and firearm aficionados there are probably over 150 million of us and if you want to be objective consider this. The folks you have mentioned are not the folks shooting people and if they were there would be an incident every day. A little research on the FBI website would tell you that those so called assault rifles are in the minority as handguns top the lists in all forms of homicides and suicides. Knife deaths as well, in this Country, don’t account for an overly large number of deaths. Now if you want to really be honest about it look at the number of folks who die from alcohol, prescriptions drugs, non prescription drugs and drowning, related incidents and you will be astounded how many more people die for those causes particularly when you factor in that most firearm deaths are suicides. Personally , I think you are off base and there are far worse things going on in this Country than the type of firearm you own. I also think you should be familiar with those statistics as a Life Time NRA member. I am a NRA member and could go on forever with FBI stats showing that most of the arguments about firearms are nothing but propaganda by the anti-firearm crowd. Do some research.

    1. Well Mr. dprato, it is hard to know just exactly where we differ, but if your idea of democracy is to make certain that the National Rifle Association welcomes only people who agree on all things (ditto heads) the research should be starting on your end. Furthermore, your suggestion that employees of the US Federal Government should be spending taxpayer money on their own body bags is disrespectful and inappropriate for calm and intelligent discussion, I am surprised that the editors of this blog even allowed your comments to remain in print. I was unable to locate my initial post that has so upset you, so why don’t we start with your explaining exactly what it was that I said that so alarmed you. Then we can take it from there in the true spirit of open discourse, two dedicated hunters, shooters and I presume, marksmen.

  5. I think that it is important not to demean the office of the Presidency just because of disagreement with or dislike of the current President. He was duly elected and has a right to enjoy the respect of the majority who elected him as well as those who voted for his adversary. The tactic of using personal attacks to make political points is one that will lose elections as Mr. Trump will find out on November 3rd unless he realizes the damage he is doing to himself in time. .The real key question that we all agree upon is just how to keep weapons of any sort out of the hands of madmen. Lets kick back and have a good discussion on that issue, try to make some headway without name calling. Leave that sort of thing for the kids in kindergarten.

    1. The powers that be & wanna be, Obama and Clinton aren’t interested in keeping weapons out of the hands of madmen, just the average citizen. They know that they cannot control terrorists, the insane, the ‘nut-job’, et al, from getting their hands on weapons, especially firearms. Those mentioned, do not obey the law. It is only ‘law abiding’ citizens that obey the law. They are willing to lie, cheat, violate The Constitution, to reach their goal, total disarmament of the U.S., with only LEOs and the military having access to firearms, plus the occasional madman, terrorist and mass murderer. And, for the most part, they are not too happy having an armed constabulary. They would prefer, instead, LEOs be armed with stun-guns and such, leaving just the military, holding firearms, whom they control. As for Trump, he lost, before he got started. He will never be allow to take his place as President of the U.S. regardless of the election outcome. You will see Obama 2.0 (Hillary) take office as President, if Obama has to declare Martial Law to do it.

    2. , no matter who sits there. We can only criticize its present incumbent for his actions and his policies (and his gratingly Americaphobic style of appeasement), and if your idea of democracy is to make certain that the discussion welcomes only people who agree on his sainthood (Obama heads) because you feel “he was duly elected and has a right to enjoy the respect of the majority who elected him as well as those who voted for his adversary,” you need to start researching the meaning of respect.

For eight years we endured the Bush Derangement Syndrome and the incessant name-calling that accompanied it, and eight years later we are still hearing about how everything is and was all his fault, so it is uncalled for to lecture down to us about respect when none was given from 1/20/2001-1/20/2013 and beyond.

    3. Well, Mr. Philip B. Mendershausen, I won’t pretend to speak for dprato, but I can tell you exactly what jumped right out at me and should stick in the craw of every good American, and that’s where you said “I think that it is important not to demean the office of the Presidency just because of disagreement with or dislike of the current President.”

This president has demeaned the office by his behavior, and there is no way we can demean the Office of the President of the United States—the office is the office, no matter who sits there.

  6. Second Amendment Manifesto

There seems to be great concern that somehow the Supreme Court will indirectly declare the 2nd Amendment null and void. Allow me to outline a strategy that might be employed to preempt any effort to do that.

    1. Can the Supreme Court Rule any Constitutional Amendment Unconstitutional

Cliff Gilley, Studied Constitutional Law at Seattle University

No, for the simple fact that any amendment becomes part of the Constitution itself, upon its passing. Any contradictions between content or intent within the Constitution might require interpretation and holdings of the Court, but it would be impossible to declare a part of the Constitution “unconstitutional”.

    2. When you consider that from the time of our creation as a Country our people have legally been able to bear arms for the purposes of hunting and self protection of self and Country. It would be rather difficult for the Supreme Court to explain how 150 million people in this Country acquired over 300 million firearms. During Obama’s Administration the average number of background checks alone averaged 2.4 million per month for the past 7 years.

    3. When the issue of confiscation comes up no one seems to answer the question of who and how will they be confiscated? There are only about 6 million law enforcement and military in the Country and at this time probably around 150 million firearm owners. Furthermore, most folks in the Military and in Law Enforcement hate Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. The military and law enforcement take an oath to uphold the Constitution They also tend to be people along with their friends, families and relatives to be gun owners. So confronted with the dangerous job of collecting firearms ( residents of NY and CT refused to register their firearms and both States backed away from enforcing those laws) they are unlikely to agree to collect firearms for two reasons. First, they want to go home to their families at night and many of them will not make it if they go door to door trying to collect 300 million firearms from 150 million people. Second, they will have to consider that if they are taking our guns who is breaking down the doors of their families, friends and relatives to do the same task. Recently in the State of Washington over a 1000 “armed” citizens openly protested new gun control laws at the State Capitol without incident. The numbers are on our side and if they ever tried that they could not even contend with the loss of 1 person for every 10 citizens as we outnumber them by over 25 to 1. Consider the difficulty they have containing a riot when no one is shooting at them and consider what has happened recently when they have been ambushed, They are more likely to turn on the people who are trying to confiscate firearms than on those of us who own them. It is a far too dangerous and illegal an act to risk one’s life. You know as well as I do that Obama, Lynch, and Clinton and all their big mouth liberal anti gun friends certainly are not going to do it.

    4. There is no provision in the Constitution for Supreme Court Decisions to be enforced except by the Executive Branch which can in fact ignore doing so and there is precedent for that although it has rarely happened in our Country’s history.

    5. Certainly if they tried there would be civil war and I believe the military and law enforcement will mostly side with the Citizens of this Country and stand down. Confiscating firearms from criminals is a different situation entirely.

Therefore, I would suggest to start promoting these talking points now to start letting people know how gun owners feel and let them know that under no circumstances will we obey, by force if necessary, any infringement on our right to bear arms or any de facto efforts to circumvent the intent of the Constitution. Remember one thing when the argument comes up. When militia’s first came into existence before you could join a militia you had to furnish your own firearm. There were no provisions for anyone to furnish them for you. So militia members had their firearms BEFORE a militia could be formed.

  7. Our so called president, now notice, I did not capitalize president, as he is no worthy of the title or office.
Obama is a glory grabbing want-a-be dictator. He would like nothing more than to have all Americans disarmed so he and all his Democratic cronies could take over this Nation and run it with an iron fist, as is done in China and Russia, as well as, is done in Iran and Syria.
It is time for all Americans wake up and demand more of our Constitutional Rights be restored as our Founding Fathers entended them, not what Congressman or woman, Senator, and most of all, some Supreme Court Justice thinks they should be.
Wake up my Fellow Americans, and let’s take back Our Country. We can do it through our elections and by demanding it of our representatives.

  8. I am a life member of the NRA as are my children. I could not help but notice that the last issue of American Rifleman is full of stories, advertisements and photographs of some of the most scary assault style weapons ever. I don’t own such weapons and believe that others who choose to buy them should be able to. But what confounds me is why such weapons are so infernally popular. What does that say about us as a nation? I feel the same way about collectors of ornate fetish knives and sadomasochistic paraphernalia. Of course I support freedom of speech and the Second Amendment, but I also am asking whether the American way of glorifying and celebrating violence as part of our freedom has come back to haunt us?

    1. By echoing the leftist epithet “scary assault style weapons,” you are falling into their propaganda and brainwashing. There are many reasons why such firearms are so “infernally” popular (yes, they are “popular as HELL” with over 15 million AR-type rifles sold), not the least of which being that they are very user-friendly and amazingly versatile.

“What does that say about us as a nation?” It says that we like our guns and we like them as their inventors designed them, not restricted, dumbed-down or emasculated by gun-hating politicians. It says that we take seriously our responsibility to protect our homes and families. It says that we value our freedom above all else and will jealously guard it against malicious politicians.

“I feel the same way about collectors of ornate fetish knives and sadomasochistic paraphernalia.” Well, that says a lot about YOU.

We the millions of owners of Modern Sporting Rifles are certainly not “glorifying and celebrating violence,” we abhor violence. Guns do not equal violence, and we are not criminals. If you want to point a finger at anybody “glorifying and celebrating violence,” it would be those Hollywood types like Liam Neeson who get paid millions of dollars shooting everything in sight on the screen and then go try to disarm us all in real life.

  9. I don’t believe either our police or military will support Obama or Clinton in any major unconstitutional acts. As for the American People, I think many will be essentially defensive as I think we would all rather see the system work but when you have a lawless Government we may have no choice but to go on the offensive. Many people are really angry and my sentiments are more along your lines. I have no plans to live in a lawless dictatorial type Country and will defend my family and home and Constitutional rights to the death. More folks need to let that be known.

  10. If it ever came to the point of Americans having to take a stand and defend their Constitutional rights from a tyrannical government how many would be willing to give it their all? How many would rather allow the tyrants to take over states rights and individual freedoms? That’s a terrible question to ask, but an appropriate one. Does the tree of liberty need to be watered with the blood of patriots? I would rather see our political system work as it should, but after nearly 8 years of our current “leader” that doesn’t seem possible. There are well meaning politicians out there somewhere. Just exactly where is the question. Should martial law ever be declared things could get real ugly real quick. I’ve lived a good long life and have served my country in uniform for many years. Should I die defending her from tyrants, or had I died defending her from the communists it makes no difference to me. Our great nation is worth defending and our Constitution is sacred. As to how many Americans feel the same I have no idea. All I know is that Obama and Hillary are two birds of a feather. We cannot survive 8 years of Hillary in office and we certainly couldn’t survive a dictator like Obama suspending elections and remaining in office. Even if he leaves office as he should you don’t honestly believe he will keep his mouth shut and let the new president lead this country as he sees best? He intends to live in DC and I guarantee you the last thing he will do is remain silent. He will continue to do what he does best, he will remain divisive. May the Good Lord help us all.

  11. Not sure where you got that from they never acknowledged any wrong doing and simply stopped the operation. This guy seldom apologizes for anything because everything is done on purpose.

  12. While it is reprehensible enough for Obama to mouth this egregious, wrong-on-so-many-levels whopper of a lie, it is beyond unforgivable for him to violate the sanctity of such a solemn and somber occasion by exploiting it to peddle his sleazy agenda.Where is the outrage? He has exactly zero decency.

    1. Thanks, Kevin. Hopefully we will all feel the same way on the 8th of November and say it with our ballots.

  13. I think y’all got it wrong, I think this is an admission of guilt from the prez about what he and aft did to Mexico allowing operation fast and furious.
This is good he’s finally manning up! Lol

  14. Regarding your staff writers bio:

“Growing up in Pennsylvania’s game-rich Allegany region, Dave Dolbee was introduced to whitetail hunting at a young age.”

I think you misspelled Allegheny. Pretty bad form on the part of your blogger and editors.

If you fail to research something as basic as an area name, it makes me view everything you write with a very skeptical eye.

    1. I know. We had a programmer build that a couple of years ago, and I have never found where he hid it to correct it! ~Dave Dolbee

  15. Saw a bumper sticker the other day that said it all..” So if Guns Kill People, Pencils Mis Spell Words, Cars Drive Drunk, and Spoons Make People Fat “. When will the politicians admit that the problem is not the weapons but the fact that they get into the wrong hands. I am a gun owner and law abiding citizen. I had a 20 year career saving lives as a firefighter and over night here in California I will become a felon for what I bought legally? Is that right. ? Putting a bandage over a skin cancer doesn’t make the cancer go away. Cure the problem . Deal with the crazys and the criminals and leave us law abiding citizens alone……So frustrating.

  16. Obama and his cronies have given a fantastic boost to firearms sales in the past few years…nice work boys!

    1. Every time Obama has threatened 2nd amendment restrictions following the heinous act of a lunatic or terrorist using firearms, I’ve added at least one more firearm to my collection. None of my firearms has ever walked into a night club or movie house and shot a single human being. Did I just luck out and get well-behaved guns? Or are they ticking time bombs, poised to do evil if I leave the safe unlocked?

  17. Doesn’t really need much discussion at all. Its fairly simple. We live in a society that has a Constitution with a 2nd Amendment written to protect the people period. Doesn’t matter if its criminals, terrorists or our own Government. If you feel unsafe and comfortable using a firearm then you get one. If you don’t then you don’t. I don’t need to discuss that with anyone and neither does anyone else. Its a personal choice. In the past 7 years the average number of background applications has been 2.4 million per month. So I think that is all the discussion you need to know that people are buying firearms not discussing the “issues”.

  18. Maybe his we was scoped to himself and those he holds counsel with? The assumption that we includes those that follow the existing laws seems a reaching abstract. At the very least he seems to recognize that he associated with questionable characters and might indeed be and I quote here “flooding communities with so many guns that it is easier for a teenager to buy a Glock than to get his hands on a computer or even a book.”

  19. i live in california and i would like to see the attorney general, kamala harris, be elected to her run for a new venture. she sucks; figurately.
can’t buy ammo without a waiting period. america has gone to hell in
    a handbasket,

  20. It is a real shame that our President cannot bring himself to honor police and other first responders in the manner which is right and proper, but rather uses the occasion to politicize that which should have been an occasion for compassion and love for those who are so grievously injured.

    1. It’s too bad obozo the freaking CLOWN can’t tell the truth about ANYTHING, the a.h. went to the clinton school of BULLSHYT!

  21. It would be nice if the reader could print out and/or forward this column particularly using regular e-mail rather than Twitter.

  22. Yes I believe I can explain it to you. They simply do not care about the facts, are confused by the facts, ignore the facts, and simply parrot what they are told. This is precisely one of the groups they cater to because they are in essence ignorant. The other groups they cater to are the Hollywood Liberals and Liberal News Media because they seem to live apart from the rest of us on Planet X or in a 3rd dimension that we somehow do not have access . I hope this clarifies any confusion you may be experiencing. You really can’t look at them from a logical perspective because it does not apply.

  23. I’ve never seen this country as politically polarized and racially charged as it is right now. I lay the blame squarely on the liberal administrative machine & activist leader with whom the buck ought to stop. Remember less than six months into this nightmare, some 7 1/2 years ago when someone came out to the rose garden and said and I quote, “the police acted stupidly”. Of course I’m referring to the arrest of Prof Gates & the climactic Beer Summit. Whether the police acted stupidly or not pales in comparison to the exceptionalky poor judgement of our anointed leader to marginalize the very enforcers of his executive branch. His very own stupidity in commenting on that event would be like me screaming “Fire” at a pile of ants. It’s so far beneath his pay grade perhaps he needs to re-reads his job description. But let’s face it, all we knew about this former 20 month senator with a 130+ “present votes” to his name prior taking office is that he was a terrific activist. I guess if your incompetent at whatever position you’ve risen to, then its easier to judt all back into whatever you were good at before. It’s called the “Peter Principal” by the way, everyone rises to their leveling incompetence. Barry is no exception.

  24. In addition to the millions of Americans who can’t find work, he’s taking good paying jobs from just as many! I -WORKED – as a coal miner and am damn proud to have done so. I made a good living and provided for my family. Now, I’m reduced to selling auto parts at a local chain store for 1/3 of my previous salary.

Find another job you say? Yeah, that’s easy when there’s 250 freshly laid off workers applying for the same position.

Wake up people, it isn’t just your guns these DemoCraps are after, it’s your ability to provide for and protect your family.

  25. Concealed carry whether directly or indirectly does as much or more to deter crime as paid policing. I therefore propose that everyone taking the necessary steps to get a CC license receive a refund check from the Federal Gov. Also we have a right in this country that states we can KEEP and BEAR arms. Nothing in that amendment mentions after passing certain can bear an arm! The fact is that there are 100 million gun minimum and 350 million maximum. Who can stop a force like that? Frankly if you do not carry daily you require protection and there fore should pay extra for same.

    1. “Societies have to think about how they’re going to approach the problem. One is to say we want an armed citizenry; you can see the reason for that. Another is to say the enclaves are so secure that in order to get into the soft target you’re going to have to pass through extraordinary security.”
“Ask yourself: If that [Kenya’s Westgate shopping mall terror attack] was [in concealed carry states] Denver, Colorado, if that was Texas, would those guys have been able to spend hours, days, shooting people randomly? What I’m saying is it makes police around the world question their views on gun control. It makes citizens question their views on gun control. You have to ask yourself, ‘Is an armed citizenry more necessary now than it was in the past with an evolving threat of terrorism?’ This is something that has to be discussed.”
–Ronald Noble, Interpol Secretary General, January 8, 2015

  26. This post is directed at the Liberal posting from “your all idiots” actually, your should be You’re, but that’s not my comment. It is that our “economy” tanked at the end of Bush’s term, or is your memory short? It has never recovered, and our actual unemployment rate is somewhere around 18 to 23% UNEMPLOYED.. if you believe any different, you sure are drinking Ohomo’s coolaid. The only way for the working class to increase their income is either change jobs or work longer hours or get another part time job because ohomocare destroyed a lot of full time jobs, and are you a gun owner? Ohomo and company just sold you out to the UN,too. Keep cheerleading for the commie scum DemocRats. It will be you also suffering along with the rest of us. Where’s G-man lately??? There is words of sanity from him!

    1. “It is that our ‘economy’ tanked at the end of Bush’s term, or is your memory short?”

I suppose you never considered the fact that the “‘economy’ tanked” after the everyone realized that there would be a Democrat taking the White House in the November election?

After all, the lamestream media had already “done a number” on the electorate by pumping up the first black candidate (Bill Clinton’s claims to that notwithstanding) – Barry O.

  27. The Dems seem to always forget, there is an internet now, and they can’t hide their BS and lies like in the old days.

In the roughly 10 years of the old “Assault Weapons” ban, the Dems claim it was a HUGE success, and that we need to reinstate it to save lives.

Take the 5 BEST years under the ban, the years with the fewest deaths attributed to the nasty black rifle…and not ONE of those years had fewer deaths by black rifle than any of the last 5. The idiots on the left actually want to go BACK to a weapons ban that resulted in more deaths than no ban at all.

Can ANYONE figure these morons out for me?

    1. Simple:

“Insanity (is) doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
      — Albert Einstein

  28. I will side with the muslims no matter which way the political winds blow.

The ONLY truthful statement Obama has ever said.

    1. Actually there were two other truthful comments attributed to his “pie hole”.#2: That he would “fundamentally” transform America and # 3: that electricity rates would “necessarily” skyrocket after the carbon taxes and the devastation to our coal industry caused by his policies.

    2. You are sooo correct !
IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who spoke these words at an Islamic dinner – “I am one of you.”

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who on ABC News referenced – “My Muslim faith.”

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who gave $100 million in U.S. taxpayer funds to re-build foreign mosques.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who wrote that in the event of a conflict -“I will stand with the Muslims.”

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who assured the Egyptian Foreign Minister that – “I am a Muslim.”

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who bowed in submission before the Saudi King.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who sat for 20 years in a Liberation Theology Church condemning Christianity and professing Marxism.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who exempted Muslims from penalties under Obamacare that the rest of us have to pay.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who purposefully omitted – “endowed by our Creator” – from your recitation of The Declaration Of Independence.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who mocked the Bible and Jesus Christ’s Sermon On The Mount while repeatedly referring to the ‘HOLY’ Quran.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who traveled the Islamic world denigrating the United States Of America.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who instantly threw the support of your administration behind the building of the Ground Zero Victory mosque
overlooking the hallowed crater of the World Trade Center.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who refused to attend the National Prayer Breakfast, but hastened to host an Islamic prayer breakfast at the WH.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who ordered Georgetown Univ. and Notre Dame to shroud all vestiges of Jesus Christ BEFORE you would agree to go
there to speak, but in contrast, you have NEVER requested that the mosques you have visited adjust their decor.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who appointed anti-Christian fanatics to your Czar Corps.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who appointed rabid Islamists to Homeland Security.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who said that NASA’s “foremost mission” was an outreach to Muslim communities.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who as an Illinois Senator was the ONLY individual who would speak in favor of infanticide.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who were the first President not to give a Christmas Greeting from the WH, and went so far as to hang photos of
Chairman Mao on the WH tree.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who curtailed the military tribunals of all Islamic terrorists.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who refused to condemn the Ft. Hood killer as an Islamic terrorist.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who has refused to speak-out concerning the horrific executions of women throughout the Muslim culture, but yet,
have submitted Arizona to the UN for investigation of hypothetical human-rights abuses.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who when queried in India refused to acknowledge the true extent of radical global Jihadists, and instead profusely
praised Islam in a country that is 82% Hindu and the victim of numerous Islamic terrorists assaults.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who funneled $900 Million in U.S. taxpayer dollars to Hamas.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who ordered the USPS to honor the MUSLIM holiday with a new commemorative stamp.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who directed our UK Embassy to conduct outreach to help “empower” the British Muslim community.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who embraced the fanatical Muslim Brotherhood in your quest to overthrow the Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who funded mandatory Arabic language and culture studies in Grammar schools across our country.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who follows the Muslim custom of not wearing any form of jewelry during Ramadan.

IT WAS YOU, OBAMA who departs for Hawaii over the Christmas season so as to avoid past criticism for NOT participating in seasonal WH
      religious events.

  29. How can anyone believe anything that obozo spews out of his pie hole?? Everyone that has opened their eyes knows that he is a liar and fraud.

  30. This isn’t about party lines it is about government wants to govern and they can do what they want if we don’t have guns. I get tired of hearing how obama destroyed America. America has been destroyed long before obama came around.

besides. it’s not the prez that controls things, it’s the wizard behind the curtain.

  31. Obama failed his obligations as facilitator for the USA economy. If the USA economy were growing, there would be abundant jobs, and crime would be a minor concern. However, the USA economy is shrinking (despite the “statistical magic” of the BLS), and 100 million Americans who would like jobs are “out of the labor force” according to the BLS. Obama refuses to acknowledge that 1/3 of all Americans who want jobs cannot find one in the economy made by Obama and his “friends”. The real responsibility for crime rests entirely with Obama & “friends”.

  32. What should anyone except? Obama is a one-trick pony. He does what he knows how to do: Divide. His politization of this issue is not surprising. He has never known how to solve problems, only how to exploit them.

  33. First, no matter how infuriated we are over the blatant over reach of the
Government regarding the 2nd Ammendment, we need to refrain from
using profanity as our way to respond. It only fuels the fire of those who
consider gun owners as radicals. Clean it up !
Continuing, we as responsible Americans and rightful owners of firearms
need to seriously organize to prevent tyrany from the Government. We
do not nor will we ever agree on every facet of life in America. But if we are to prevent a takeover of our rights by Washington, we must stand as
a unified front confronting the issues.. So, some one, some organization
needs to enlist every firearm owner in America to protect our rights. If
We can not agree on a unified platform, how can we expect anything from the crooks in Government. It is time to abandon division as how we should proceed with protecting our rights. I am a member of the NRA.
No one or no organization has come close to their success at fighting for our rights. Do I agree with everything they do ? Do I agree with everything my family members do . No. But we work things out to gain success as a family and we need to be a family to fight Washington.
I am 67. My father as many of your fathers fought for this Country in WWII. They landed at Normandy, at Anzio, at Iwo Jima to protect our Nation. And if needed I will stand on the banks of the Patomac to protect this Country. If we stand together as millions, no Government would dare
oppose us. It is time to make that stand. Unlike those millions who left
their country in the Mideast and allowed their home to descend into
chaos rather than fight, I will fight to keep this Nation. Join me, take
    the pledge. Become one of the millions who will not sell this Country down the river for their personal gain. Unite before there is blood in the streets;
for your family, for your Nation.

    1. Couldn’t have said it better myself Tom. I 100% completely agree with u. Thank you for your comment and I too join you and take the pledge. This is the only way we can win. Everybody has to come together and stand as one. We cannot, and I will not, do nothing and just let the government take away our God given right to protect ourselves and our loved ones. I am also an NRA member and think if anybody who is in favor of keeping our 2nd amendment needs to join if not already a member. This is a serious and huge problem that’s going on right now. The only way that we can beat it is if we all stand together United and not back down. This is OUR country. I am willing to fight for my rights and my families safety. I hope everybody else feels the same way because we all need to stand together as one through these tough times ahead.

  34. Obama’s rhetoric is typical at this point. The entire world knows he is a joke and only interested in himself and his narcissistic views. What’s amazing to me is that even the liberal press like the Washington Post is calling him on it now. How far gone are we now?

  35. I have been predicting for several years that he would conjure a reason to declare martial law and we would have a brief civil war and the military would arrest him and put him and his Muslim Terrorist friends in Guantanamo with his friends. In Washington State over 1000 armed people marched on the State Capitol to defy new gun control laws. The average over 7 years of Obama has been 2.4 million firearms sold per month. The military and police hate him. So if he declares martial law and the public erupts as a result they will put him in jail and be done with it. They are not going to fight their own people.

    1. I do so hope you are correct. But, there are a lot of brainwashed people who think the Traitor-In-Chief is a true leader. I don’t think it will be the slam dunk you describe, but, I pray to God it will be.

  36. The problem with being a liar and being purposely deceptive it that when people see it happen time and time again they realize you have no credibility whatsoever and if they don’t they are dumb as a rock.
I recognized that with Obama before he was even elected. I never listen to the man and I believe him to be a Muslim Terrorist as is his AG Loretta Lynch. Like Hillary they are never to be trusted because you will never know whether they are lying or on rare occasions telling the truth.

  37. Obama is nothing but a lying bastard, who will take any opportunity to push his ‘gun-grabbing’ agenda. Even to the point of desecrating a memorial for those LEOs that were ambushed and murdered by a man already inflamed by Obama’s anti-cop rhetoric. As sick and twisted as that was, hang on to you bloomers, ladies & gents, it will be 4 more years of, ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.’ Wait until Hillary, or ‘Obama, 2.0, comes to the office of POTUS, next year. The Washington Post had the right of it, but, didn’t award enough Pinocchios to this lying P.O.S.

  38. Dave Dolbee is correct about Chicago. Illinois has some of the toughest gun laws in our country, and Chicago has one of the highest murder rates in our country. Chicago clearly demonstrates that more gun laws are not the answer. Instead, we must give back the authority to our police to deal effectively with the criminals who are flooding our streets.

  39. I wouldn’t and don’t expect anything more from a sub human that I have come to know of from Obomo. A disgusting representative of our country. Will be so glad when the agitator and racist and the most unworthy of all, is gone, however that goal is accomplished. Some say he will attempt to have Martial Law declared to stay in office if Trump is beating Hillary. Some even say that even if Hillary looks to be winning, that he will try to stay in power. I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past this muslem sympathizer and perpetual liar, usurper, and dishonest divider-in- chief. If he attempts to circumvent our election, by declaring Martial Law to maintain office, there will be blood shed, and there will be a vast amount of patriots willing to water the Tree of Liberty. That’s how I feel.

    1. If you remember, many believed that ‘Slick Willie’ Clinton would do the same, even threatened to do so, saying in an early speech: ” I do not want to be know as President Bill Clinton, but as, William, The First, King of the United States.” He later dismissed it as a joke, later that he had been ‘misquoted’, much later that he had never said it. I doubt that Moslembama has the cajones to try to stay in office. His strength is in his ability to make lies believable and crying and moaning and blaming his failures on others, not in standing and fighting. In other words, he is a lying ‘chicken-s**t’ coward. If there are any dirty deeds to keep him in office if trump is elected, it will come from Hillary, whom we all know as; ‘A Lying A**ed Bitch.’
