NRA: 5 Things Hillary Says She Will Do To Your Rights If She Wins

Hillary Clinton

In June 2000, Hillary Clinton endorsed a bill introduced by U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., that would have required anyone who owns a handgun to be licensed and to have their name placed in a national database. Clinton said, “I stand in support of this common-sense legislation to license everyone who wishes to purchase a gun. I also believe that every new handgun sale or transfer should be registered in a national registry, such as Chuck is proposing.”

Hillary Clinton

By Frank Minter

In January 2008, during her primary fight for the Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton was asked in a debate whether she had “backed off a national licensing [and] registration plan.” Clinton answered, “Yes.”

What had changed was that in 2000, Al Gore ran on an anti-Second Amendment platform and lost. His anti-gun stance even cost him his home state of Tennessee. So, from then until this election cycle, Democratic presidential hopefuls have generally been careful not to stir up America’s 100 million-plus gun owners.

In 2008, Barack Obama was so careful about not poking gun owners that even some who should’ve known better weren’t so sure he was a threat to their gun rights.

In the summer of 2008, I was in studio with the great G. Gordon Liddy talking about gun rights on his radio show (he retired in 2012). I wasn’t then a big supporter of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for president, as McCain had just impaired our freedom of speech with his campaign-finance law that forbade the expression of political views by some in the time leading up to elections. But I said on air that I would vote for him because I believed he would mostly protect the Second Amendment, whereas then-Sen. Barack Obama would not.

Liddy wasn’t so sure. He noted that Obama was saying he supported the individual’s right to bear arms—this was the official DNC position at the time (it isn’t now). Because of this, Liddy said he would take Obama as a man of his word, at least until Obama proved otherwise. That was very gentlemanly of Liddy, but, being a cynical journalist, I said, “I respectfully disagree. With politicians, their record is a better indicator of future behavior than their rhetoric, and Obama has already established a record of opposition to our right to bear arms.” Liddy shook his head and smiled, as if to say I might be right.

It was difficult to publicly disagree with Liddy, as he is a man who stands so steadfastly by his word that he went to prison rather than break it. But his gentlemanly forbearance also taught me how dishonest politicians can use our better natures against us.

At the Democratic National Convention last month, Clinton said, “I’m not here to repeal the Second Amendment. I’m not here to take away your guns.” She wants us to believe this, even though she has said that the Supreme Court got it “wrong” with the Heller (2008) decision in which the court ruled 5-4 that the Second Amendment is indeed an individual right. As she [Clinton] is trying to obscure even her own record, it is important to list what she has said she’d do to your freedom.

“Assault Weapons” Ban

While being interviewed on “Good Morning America” on June 4, 1999, Clinton said, “If you own a gun or you know people who do, make sure it’s locked up and stored without the ammunition. We’ve made some progress in the last several years with the Brady Bill and some of the bans on assault weapons, but we have a lot of work to do.” To that end, the “issues” portion of her website says she wants to institute another “assault weapons” ban, which would outlaw the semi-automatic AR-15—the most popular rifle in the country. Incidentally, a so-called “assault weapons” ban like Clinton proposes was instituted by her husband in 1994, and was totally ineffective for the 10 years it was in effect.

“Universal” Background Check

In June 2014, Clinton said on CNN, “I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation. We cannot let a minority of people—and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people—hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people.” She then said she favors “background checks that work” even as she showed she didn’t know the difference between a semi-automatic modern sporting rifle and a machine gun by saying that mass murderers in the U.S. use “automatic” weapons. Her desire for a “universal” background check is also on her official website. She wants to add real costs and legal entanglements to anyone who wants to loan, give, or sell their firearms to family, friends, or shooting buddies, even though no one can show this would keep guns out of the hands of any criminals anywhere.

Blacklists In NICS

Clinton has said, “If you are too dangerous to get on a plane, you are too dangerous to buy a gun in America.” She wants to add secret government blacklists to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Adding people on secret government watch lists to the prohibited category, whether or not they’ve been convicted of a crime or even accused of one, isa gross infringement of not only the Second Amendment, but the Fifth Amendment right of due process under the law.

Hold Gun Makers Liable For The Actions Of Criminals

Clinton has repeatedly lied about the protections afforded by Congress to firearm makers and sellers from liability in the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). The PLCAA does not protect gun makers from liability if they sell faulty products or if they break the law. It simply protects them from being civilly liable for the actions of criminals. (For more, I wrote about this here.) Clinton, when she was a U.S. senator, voted against passage of the PLCAA. She wants to repeal it now so that anti-gun trial lawyers can pile frivolous lawsuit after frivolous lawsuit on gun makers and gun sellers, forcing them to spend millions of dollars in legal fees just to defend themselves.

Continue Battling Against Armed Self-Defense

In May 2014, Clinton took a swipe at the concealed carry of firearms for self-defense, saying, “I think again we’re way out of balance. We’ve got to rein in what has become almost an article of faith that almost anybody can have a gun anywhere at any time. And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”

More recently, she has said that citizens with concealed firearms don’t make us a safer nation. And her proclamation that the Supreme Court was “wrong” on the Heller decision, which ruled that the Second Amendment protects your right to own a gun in your home for self-defense, puts her squarely at odds with Americans who have realized that they are the first line of defense for themselves and their families.

  1. Well what is your explanation for 15 consecutive months of record breaking gun sales and increasing memberships in the NRA. Sounds like you have an axe to grind. If you don’t like the NRA or the people who are members then no one is asking you to join. So take a hike. In this Country people are still free to do what they like as long as they are not breaking the law. You have a good days spitting and sputtering your anti dialogue.

  2. Hey Killery-Don’t like the Second Amendment? Then get rid of it, it’s right there in Article 5. Go for it.

“The right of the people” is used only in the 1st, 2nd, & 4th Amendments. Why does it say what it means and means what it says, except in Amendment 2?

  3. Sound like the other 100 million gun owners who go through each day and don’t create a problem for anyone. You are right on.

  4. Nice to hear law enforcement tell it like it is. The answer to those folks who live in the proverbial vacuum is that they are the same people who vote for the very people who will enslave them. Brain dead, illogical, living in a different dimension than the rest of us and until their OX gets gored they will continue simply doing what they are being told. No independent thinking, ethics or morality. Just trucking along without a care in the world until someone kills them and then its too late.

  5. Most are select fire M16 s not ar15 simi and you left out city and state police most have returned M50 Reising and m14 s for m16s clinton destroyed most of the 14s and m50s

  6. When I was going to High School in the early 80’s I saw a bumper sticker that remains true to this day. It stated “If guns are outlawed then only outlaws will have guns” and it’s true! I have guns. I’m not a criminal! I have been honored to serve our country for six years in the U.S. Army! I’m a decent law abiding citizen. I pay my taxes and abide by the law (although sometimes exceed the speed limit a bit). I live in a State (California) which has some of the most draconian laws in the Country. My gun ownership is not malicious. I hunt and plus, it’s simply just fun to go shooting at the range with with my kids not to mention the ability to protect myself and my family if absolutely necessary.

  7. Nothing about G. Gordon LIddy was “great”.

His “shadow career” seemed to start in ’71 or so, and it didn’t take him long to take a bad turn into crime:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G._Gordon_Liddy
He was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping. In the political arena, that is obstructing the democratic process. I wouldn’t condone that criminal behavior against either party, and I hope no one else would either.

I remember that this really broke the envelope of behavior at the time, and with every break and tear of the Fabric of Democracy, America has suffered. Anarchy is Anarchy, no matter the flavor.

As far as “If you are too dangerous to get on a plane, you are too dangerous to buy a gun in America.” – I’m on board that one. No Fly, No Buy. If this is the price of keeping guns from ISIS, it’s OK with me.

Don’t worry, though; even though Mrs. Liddy has passed on, I’m sure there’s a handgun memorial on her side of the bed for G. Gordon.

  8. The American Protection of Arms Declaration
“People in the United States of America want it understood
that designating arms, ammunition and related accessories,
which are currently legal to make, keep or bear in any state,
which may later be declared illegal to make, keep or bear,
or encumbered in any way by any means and for any reason,
    constitutes Second Amendment infringement.
“Such actions are null and void, amount to prima facie violation
of the oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,
and are grounds for removal from office for failure to faithfully
execute the duties of the office.
“Any action or attempt by any person to enforce such infringement
on property possessed in our state will be a class four felony for a
first offense, and a class three felony for second and subsequent offenses.
“County Sheriffs and law-enforcement agencies in this state will be
authorized to enforce this Declaration and to deputize as many residents
as may be necessary to enforce this Declaration.”

  9. When will the general population (by that, I mean those that oppose the 2nd Amendment and firearms in general) realize they only putting themselves in harm’s way. Being a former law enforcement officer, I have had many conversations with criminals where they said they would be able to get another gun on the streets quicker that I could order lunch in a drive through. They also say, they don’t just randomly pick someone to mug or a house to break into. They pick and choose those people who can’t defend themselves or their home well enough. If they know you carry a firearm or have them in your home, they will move on.

When you pass laws, you only affect the law abiding citizen. Criminals will always have the black market. When you take away someone’s ability to protect themselves, you only tip the scales in favor of those that don’t care what any law says. Those of us that are law abiding, just might become criminals by turning the black market so we can sleep at night.

Forget the idea of a government take over or control. There will be enough in fighting in your neighborhoods, towns and cities where government won’t even be an issue nor have to step in and use the national guard. When the masses finally figure it out there won’t be enough of the country left.

I leave you with just one question to ponder. If Clinton gets her way and the 2nd Amendment is erased, why would she still need the Secret Service, Homeland Security, the FBI or any other “armed” agency; including the IRS?

    1. Politicians do not realize that Criminals by definition do not follow laws. Only Law Abiding Citizens follow Laws.

  10. They only thing in can say for sure is there seems to be only two kinds of people that want to take the guns from honest American citizens. those that have armed Body guard protecting them and their families and those that think they are some how magically protected from thugs and killers both foreign and domestic. It is to bad in both cases that they aren’t the first to have the police get there as fast as they can just to put a tag on their toes.

  11. “Regulated=controlled”

Actually that is the modern meaning. At the time the Constitution and Bill of rights were written well controlled=properly functioning. And, under either definition “well controlled” applies to the militia not the arms referred to in the second part of the amendment which is clearly not to be infringed upon.

    1. Good to see a fellow student of old English and military history! Thanks for that! In many of the original old books I’ve read, I’ve come to understand that when arms are referred to, the word “regulated” usually meant well supplied and maintained, and in modern form; where as when referred to personnel, it meant well drilled and disciplined. So it is obvious the 2nd Amendment points to the weapons, and they must be up to modern standards and well supplied and maintained. I’ve been reading old English military manuals since I was a kid, and I’m positive about my understanding of the word.

  12. Why is it that Obama and Hillery have no problem supplying firearms to Mexican drug cartels and foreign countries that support terrorism, yet they are hell bent on keeping them out of the hands of law abiding American citizens? I can’t help but think that is just flat out wrong! I guess they missed the memo about elected officials serving the people of THIS country…classic progressive liberal agenda.

  13. I read one comment on here that the NRA was not good for us or some such thing, and that is not true, it is the NRA that lobbies for our gun rights and that is most feared by Obama and Hillary. We need the NRA and I am a life member of this great organization and I contribute to their cause as often as I can, because I know that they will defend our gun rights and I read every article they ever publish and they are definitely on the rights of the gun owners and the 2nd amendment. So please support them and their cause and become a member, plus they publish several good magazine which are included their membership plans.

  14. For the record when Militias first came into existence you had to own your own firearm in order to be in one. Therefore, any reference to Militia at the time the Bill of Rights was written would have presumed that to be a part of one you had to have a firearm first. There were no provisions for anyone to furnish you with a weapon.

  15. Nothing she says she is going to do will keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Even if she took everyone’s guns criminals could still get them. She’s trying to play on everyone’s fears of terrorism or mass shootings to strip us of our rights. Obama has been skirting the Congress by using presidential powers to get his own way just like any want-to-be tyrant. Hillary will do exactly the same thing. What much of the media that backs her and also would like a repeal of the 2nd Amendment doesn’t seem to realize, is that once we lose one of the Bill of Rights the door is wide open to lose them all. If I remember right from when I was a kid, Krueschef (sp) once told Kennedy that communism would eventually take over the U.S. without a shot being fired.
She also doesn’t think we should be able to defend ourselves with guns. My wife and I are both in wheelchairs. We don’t have any other option. Maybe we should be able to sue the president if a family member is hurt or killed because of her actions. We should also as a country vote to take her secret service and whitehouse police away and make her rely on the same law enforcement we have.

  16. The Second Admendment, my view vs the 99.999%. It is NOT about the security of the militia. Wasn’t then and isn’t now.
“A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

Regulated=controlled, back in the day the people feared any standing military, State or Federal. They put their trust in themselves. A well regulated Militia was a controlled Militia, and not by just marching around the village green.
‘being necessary ‘to’ the security of a free State…if the people back in the day really trusted the militia they would have used the word ‘for’ the security of a free State. No, they didn’t trust the militia either or a Federal standing army. The people wanted arms to control both State and Federal domination.
Yet today the current has armed over 50 Federal agencies with over 200,000 much ‘feared’ AR15 rifles. WHY ? The Federal agencies can have these rifles but the citizens can’t ? Go Figure ! I can’t !

    1. To be accurate here, in the context of the word “regulated”, we must understand that word meant properly armed and supplied. The old English of the day is not common now and is greatly misunderstood. If you look at that sentence that can be the only goal anyway, you cannot have a poorly armed and supplied militia and expect to repel tyrants. This has to exist just for the militia to survive. Any student of military history and the old English of the day understands this, but the news media seems to reward ignorance and stupidity.

  17. She is without a doubt one of the most ill informed and contemptible politicians out there. If she’s so set on registering and banning guns, maybe she should start with her husband Bill’s ‘gun’…he seems to use it rather injudiciously.

  18. IF that bitch gets put in the White House, this country deserves what ever happens to it. I know where I’ll stand if the feces hits the osolating wind machine. I’m afraid we’re looking at rise of the very tyranny the for fathers foresaw. I just hope we don’t cave if and when we are needed. Stay strong, stay armed.

  19. I say if she wants to pass these ridiculous laws then they must apply to ALL Americans including her SS details, let’s see how confident she is with a bunch of unarmed men & women with a public that is of course leagally unarmed. Then and only then will they (She) realize that the laws against law abiding citizens is stupid and it’s the criminals they need to be going after with tuffer penalties. These JAs that are in charge of our country have got to go. People, wake up, stop putting and leaving these socialist, liberal a-holes into your local, state and federal positions. All they do is F-up this once great cointry but look at it now, almost 50% are on some form of welfare simply to get their votes. We pay people to exist in this country and we have a class of people who are more than willing to do nothing as far as a job is considered except hold out their hands and Bitch because they are not getting more. Elect representatives who are against life long welfare as a way of life, we have enough of those already in D.C.

  20. Give them a hundredth of an inch and they will take 10 miles. While there is something to what you say the antis are after every last musket as you say.

  21. Our rights, including but not limited to gun rights, will only be safe when the govt no longer has the police & military power to take them. That’s why there’s never a good time to talk about disarming the people. What the discussion should be about is disarming the government. There is a massive imbalance between the power of the government and the power of the people. Not only the military but the law enforcement establishments here are overwhelmingly strong. We need to start shifting power away from the government by putting these functions back in the people’s hands where they belong. One of the lesser known Founders, Tench Coxe, explained it well. Picking up on the same theme as Mao he wrote:

“Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom… Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American … the unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

There is only one way to guarantee our lives and liberty. That is to be stronger than those who seek to take them are.

  22. When I read about Hlllery’s views on 2nd amendment rights, I’m tempted to call her a bunch of nasty names…but I won’t. I just wish she would quit acting like the east end of a westbound horse..’.nuff said!

  23. Every Damn weapon out there be it a gun, knife, hammer, or even a car can be considered an assault weapon so is she going to take all of the above away no she is not. Does she think criminals care about a back round check I think not. Does she think a black list will make difference to a criminal again I think not, Making gun makers liable for actions of criminals is going to make a difference well the only way I see it making a difference is they will just move there companies out of the US, not sending there products into the US, this will also take thousands of jobs away from Americans who will then have to go on welfare or demands services cause they no longer have good paying jobs to support themselves which will put more strain on an already strain budget. And above all else not letting law abiding Americans defend them selves which will just about let any other country just walk into this country and take over and the first thing they are going to do to her as president is shoot her or give her a medal for f’ing up this country so bad for them to take it over, personal I look for them to give her a medal instead of shooting her.

    1. If her actions let the Moslems take over, most of the government along with the rest of us, including any Moslems that don’t meet whatever standard the new regime has, will be in line for beheading. And she would probably be at the front of the line to demonstrate their power.

  24. My question is why is everyone talking about what she is going to do if she gets in office? What happened to seeing to it that the nasty communist broad ends up in the pokey where she belongs? It’s obvious that the whole regime is crooked and therefore protecting her criminal arse. I guess it’s going to be up to a few good men to light this candle and take these clowns out.

  25. Where I live, even our Sheriff has told me he realizes that a Deputy can’t be everywhere, all the time, and HE wishes EVERYONE would “arm up” for their own protection. Naturally,he,or any of his Deputies, would gladly put their lives on the line for a Citizen if they were able to be on scene before the shooting began. HE GETS IT!!! Our Police Chief affirms much the same thing.
VOTE TRUMP,and keep your guns,AND the freedom to carry.

  26. Although some sound extreme, I see some pretty good arguments for the protection of our 2nd amendment right to bear arms which is constantly under attack. And although, for the most part, I believe our federal govt. isn’t planning on marching us all to FEMA death camps once they’ve disarmed us all, I KNOW that the founding fathers included the SECOND amendment (2nd only to freedom of speech) so that if ever again we lived under the rule of a tyrant, we would have the means to remove them from their position of power or at least fight for our rights that are protected under the constitution. (See “declaration of independence.”) banning all or certain firearms will do nothing to curb the violence perpetrated by disturbed individuals. If they had not been able to legal obtain a firearm, there are certainly other means to acquire one. After all, certain drugs are illegal in this great country we live in, yet the availability of these drugs is abundant to anyone who has the right amount of cash. Taking our right to bear arms would only create even more violence bc then the criminals who couldn’t care less about the legality of gun possession could rest easy knowing law-abiding citizens would be rendered defenseless.

  27. spare me the spin – we are best served NOT BY-hysterical “they’ll take every last musket BS” , but by responsible gun owners demonstrating support for responsible people having guns if they wish – we have sensible people to win over to our side this is an inaccurate representation of an attempt to visit common ground with consideration for multiple points of view – we can represent a sizable minority with valid concerns and blunt unreasonable demands by those in the majority (many of whom may be not aware of those valid concerns

  28. The start of taking away our rights starts with freedom of speech with political correctness. Political correctness Take away our right for not having our due process of law ie black list. Now for taking away our right to have arms.
While supporting black lives matter terrorist group. People now want us to become Europe

  29. I think the thing at enrages me the most is that they demand that we not judge an entire segment of society, be it a race, a religion or belief based on the actions of a small group of or single individuals. Yet, the politically “enlightened” see fit to lump all of us legal, responsible and law abiding gun owners with the mentally ill, unstable and criminals who commit these horrible atrocities.

  30. And I repeat that they will so take a hike. We are not terrorists. We are their mothers, fathers, brothers , sisters, friends and relatives. I know folks in the MIlitary and Police and they said they would not do it. So stick it.

  31. Hilldog is NOT to be trusted with any of our gun laws. I truly believe, if elected she will try to legislate bills that will make the Brady Bill look insignificant to pro-gunners.

  32. This kind of hypocrisy is intolerable. If your platform is antigun the first person to turn them in should be you. If you say you’re banning any rifle that has a- mag release that can be operated with one hand, is semi auto or select fire, takes mags over 10rounds, and has a collapsible stock then the first thing that should happen when you outlaw it is your private security turns in and has their weapons destroyed.
This is why I refuse to support the nra. If your senator bans mags over ten rounds and has a security detail that carries glocks with thirteen rounds where’s the nra to go “Hey! That is illegal by YOUR law and you are committing a criminal offense.”
Oh that’s right being part of the 1% means you’re above the law and your life is more important. News flash: From King to peasant you ARE replaceable.
Want gun reform? You knew the law, you didn’t follow the law, you’re either going to prison or you’re turning in your weapons for good. You cannot say guns are bad then blatantly have them protecting you. That doesn’t make you a president that makes you a dictator.

    1. Speaking against the NRA is like shooting yourself in the foot – if you don’t like the NRA, then please recommend a better organization that still has around 5 million members and the kind of clout the NRA has. I would at least join them for just the sheer force they can apply with their lobby, it is better than NOT having an NRA. You can always join a group you like better as well. If you want to change the NRA – join them! That is what I did back when we had enemies inside the organization and we had to work to weed them out of leadership positions, work towards leader positions, or otherwise pressure the directors towards our goals. It has worked better than I thought possible back 30 years ago.

    2. You mean like all that force they’ve failed to apply at places like Connecticut and California? Spare me you worthless parrot. They support the businesses more than they will ever support you or me. I know I for one am so happy to see a shot show line up of bigots and rednecks representing the majority of gun owners aren’t you? They know they’re on a sinking ship the question they’re asking now is how much money can they squeeze out of twits like you before it sinks completely. They had numerous chances to avoid political hara kiri and each time they chose to just shove the knife in.
The only person I’d want running the nra is ronnie barrett because he atleast had the guts to tell cali that if civilians can’t have their hear nobody can and stick by it. Unlike wayne who defends feinsteins glock while condeming her legislation. Look at their salary then look at yours. Boy they sure represent you don’t they?

    3. What have you done for the cause besides bitch and call people names? I bet you don’t even vote.

    4. You mean besides not deluding people that the nra is useless and that they should get ready for the inevitable? Go ahead and vote for trump even though he openly supported hillary. Go ahead vote for Johnson most people don’t even know he’s running. Keep sending more money to the nra so they can send a promise and a hat back. They’re going to stop hillary just like they stopped barrack from his second term.
Here’s a wake up call- they didn’t, they won’t, get ready for the inevitable.

    5. I refuse to take the defeatist road on this issue; you can call it a waste of time as I’m sure you will, we have the 1st Amendment too. I will continue to support my congressmen, my senators, and the NRA for as long as I have life breathing from my lungs. I have done this every since I was a kid, and went door to door handing out political leaflets to inform the voters on the issues. There are many ways to do something beside sit and bitch to work toward a respect of our rights. Someday we may even have to hold peaceful (hopefully) demonstrations in Washington DC, whether the media pays attention or not, it is better than ending up in the trenches after losing our fundamental rights. If the future is dark, I will still not give up – I refuse to give in to nattering nabobs of negativism!!

    6. Anything but that!!! Gosh I better denounce islam and christianity that’ll sure teach them!

  33. Hillary Clinton is the prime example of the popular saying , I fear the government that fears my guns. She has no ability to see life clearly from the view of the average American. Her family is totally protected by Armed security men , armored cars, and tons of electronic security equipment. While the average American has no one but themselves to protect them and there family. Sure we have the police , national guards and the military. But there not readily on site when a crime is committed. The major problem is not enough punishment for crimes that are done while using a deadly weapon. Don’t punish all for the crimes of a few, that’s just counter productive and costly.

  34. Hillary is a joke she wants to make gun manufacturers accountable for some idiot who wants to gun down innocent people.. But yet we have politicians that got us into 2 illegal wars, destroyed the middle class, insider trading, an held this great nation hostage becouse we have a bunch of Republicants= domestic terrorism.. That only work for the rich an corporate lobbyist!!!! Let’s start holding our scum bag politicians accountable for their actions!!! Before we start going after gun manufacturers!!!!!!

  35. You forgot to mention her admiration for the Australian program to “buy back” firearms, which resulted in confiscation of privately-owned firearms. She plainly stated that we should try that approach here. This woman has no conscience.

  36. The most profound of all Hillary’s statements goes well beyond standard political rhetoric. When she takes the time to say, “We’ve got to rein in what has become almost an article of faith that almost anybody can have a gun anywhere at any time.” That statement is deep and took her some real thought.

Make no mistake – that was her way of mounting a direct attack on our religious beliefs when she chooses to bring the word “faith” into her speeches. Hillary is well aware that we, as well as the Founding Fathers, directly rely on our God-given rights to self-defense.

Hillary is also quite aware she is up against people that understand the history in which the Founders added the Second Amendment to enumerate a God-given right that no man or government has control over.

Hillary’s statement pokes at this as if to say it is merely a cultic religious belief held by a few and in need of modification. This is evidenced by her other statement, “We cannot let a minority of people—and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people—hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people.”

What many do not realize here is that Hillary’s intent in making such statements is laying the groundwork to make us into terrorists – to be viewed as extremists and placed on watch lists no different than ISIS.

Hillary knows this Country’s Constitution was rooted upon the strength in the Founders’ “faith” in God and is as true today as it was then. So the only way to control such strength is to demonize us by turning anyone that still believes in these foundational principles into terrorists.

  37. Background checks as hillary wants them to be are nothing more than a national database of all firearms owners.

  38. While I understand and respect others points of view, I have a comment on this that I would like folks to think about…

Hillary wishes to disarm me, Why?

Is my life worth less than hers? She has an armed escort with fully automatic weapons, yet my pistol or rifle is a threat?

Secondly, she is aiming for a buy back?

I highly doubt she has enough of my (tax) money to buy my gun from me. As a point of contention, it was never up for sale in the first place, much less to be bought with my own money none the less.

None of these things make sense to me, unless someone is up to something no good for you and I. Just a thought for others….

  39. ‘…guns stored without ammunition’? So that means that when some home invaders (criminal or gov’t) bust down your door 0330, they’ll be on your ass before you’ve had a chance to put a mah in the gun. Don’t buy into this!

  40. People better wake up, She’s going to do away with the only right that protects all of the others. When it’s time to turn them in, it’s time to use them. ” From enemies both foreign and domestic”

  41. They have only done what we have allowed them to do. When people get fed up with the Constitutional transgressions and a tyrannical Government then we have the right and duty to resist with force if necessary. Just hasn’t gotten bad enough for most folks yet, but at the current rate their will be a breaking point.

  42. Small arms treaty was defeated in Congress. The one thing everyone seems to forget is that we outnumber them 100 million plus to around 6 million and many of the military and police will not participate and are on our side. If push comes to shove, civil war will be the option.

  43. I wouldn’t have any respect for her because there is no reason to even consider doing away with the Second Amendment and no one talks about the result which would be like prohibition and foster a black market in firearms and make innocent people felons.

  44. No they don’t go to far as you do not know the facts. On the application for background checks there is a statement that says if you lie on this application you are subject to a $250,000 fine and a possible 10 year jail sentence. Sounds pretty tough huh. But like many existing gun control laws the FBI does not go after a significant number of people who lie and prosecute them. All they do is deny the application. Then the go out and either get family to purchase a firearm for them or get one illegally. I have been through over 30 background checks in Colorado and there is only one difference. I am not a criminal. Criminals are not deterred by background checks. If the feds enforced their own laws perhaps it would lessen the problem. So before you challenge those who know how the system works do some research or say nothing so you don’t look like a fool. I live in Colorado where they passed a variety of emotionally motivated gun laws. To make a long story short after one full year of implementation a study conducted indicated the additional gun laws made no difference whatsoever. We have background checks for purchases, transfers, and gun shows and a 15 round magazine limit. Only one person in 2 years who was a criminal was charged with having magazines over 15 rounds. Don’t assume because a law is passed it will accomplish anything.

  45. Why do you drive a Mercedes? Why do you live in a 5000 square foot home with a 3 car garage? Why do we go to Starbucks and pay $6 for a cup of coffee?

Oh yeah because we live in America dammit! That’s why.

What you should be saying is, I’m going to lead by example. I’m going to have my security team leave their assault rifles and their high-capacity magazines at home. I would feel much safer if my security team didn’t have these killing machines around me. They don’t need more than 10 rounds for their assault rifles and 7 rounds for their hand guns to protect me. My security team will only be equipped with hunting rifles. Well, because that’s what we do, we hunt people down. So I propose a bill that everyone else Follow My Lead. This will make the criminals think twice. My new slogan will be ” less bullets equals more protection! ”

And in this bill I’m going to ban all hatchets and other pointy objects. Just think of all the water beds that will be saved. Think of all the trees that won’t get chopped down. Do we not have the right to shade, do we not have the right to sleep in a floating pillow of water? Or is that too ridiculous?

  46. Mayflower descendant my family left oppression when it followed they fought it off and enshrined in a statement written like a commandment A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. the atf is unconstitutional militias are not the army they are you and me there is not supposed to be a standing army only citizen soldiers like Israel

  47. I have NEVER voted for a straight party ticket. I have always looked at who is running for what and voted for the person I felt like would do the best job. This year I am changing and voting for ALL Republicans seeking office. The reason is simply that the republicans are the only ones that I trust to protect the second amendment. Everyone reading this needs to get out and vote, and vote strictly for the republican ticket. Say a prayer that people will go vote. This is the most critical election in my 70 years.

    GO VOTE REPUBLICAN

  48. Does anyone here see what’s happening? Obama will sign the NATO Small Arms Treaty so he can say, with a straight face, that he has no intention of bypassing the 2nd Amendment. Look at what’s happening in California. The liberal politicians have passed 6 new laws which will turn our ARs into wall art. The two most egregious are the fixed magazine law and the ammo registration law. No more bullet button in Cali, only fixed magazines. We will have to breakdown our ARs in order to change out a mag. The Small Arms Treaty will do the same to the rest of you. Hillary will tell everyone that she supports the 2nd Amendment and she’ll say it with a straight face, like Obama, because she is telling the truth. She doesn’t want your guns, she just wants to disable their designed functionality. Listen carefully to their words. She and Obama will leave us with pieces of metal that resemble ARs. I’m a lifetime member of the NRA and I’m pissed off! You should be too! Pass the word!! Vote Trump, Vote true GOP 2nd Amendment candidates!

  49. I could have some respect for her position if she would say that first she would work to repeal the 2nd Amendment, and after it was out of the way, she would confiscate firearms. But her position is that she will infringe on gun owner’s rights in spite of the fact that they are protected by the Constitution, and that tell me all I need to know about her.

  50. Hillery (The wife of our impeached national pervert) wins, democracy looses. We already see this in our FBI organization and the Justice Department with Bad Odor. She will expand on his policies. The Clinton Foundation sounds some what like the Third Third Rich.Sounded good on the surface when presented to the people in Germany in ww2. We now know what a mistake that was. We must not make that mistake in the USA.

  51. Yu folks go too far. Background checks protect the majority against those who should not be able to legally purchase a firearm.

    1. First, thank you for your service, I appreciate it.
Second, I don’t have a problem with “back ground checks” as they are today. But Hellery doesn’t want a back ground check. She wants what the Liberal Left refer to as Universal back ground checks. The difference is that “universal” means the Feds get you, your gun being REGISTERED, ON A DATA BASE. This is the first step in confiscation.
When universal checks gets passed, then it will be that ALL transfers even father to son will be required. They are already trying to have family members included, and will deny a purchase if someone in your family is a felon, or has mental illness. They also are trying to make folks get background checks just to buy ammo, plus to stop mail order guns and ammo purchased. Even I think it is in Brooklyn or the Bronx in NYC that they want to limit the amount of actual cartridges that can be purchased if you own a six shot revolver you can only purchase something like 12 rounds or something to that effect! Just amazing the infringement that government want to place on our 2nd Amendment rights, but the Feds SUE states that pass laws to show ID to vote!!! Truly a screwed up Government we have today ( Ohomo at the helm ) Did you serve under the current regime, or were you fortunate enough to have a Commander In Chief that loved our men and women in uniform? ( No intent to offend YOU )

    2. Depends on how they are done. If I could call up the FBI or go on line, run a background check on someone, get a transaction number to verify the check, then I should be able to sell to anyone and anyone sell to me as a private transfer with no information retained on buyer and seller. This is possible but that is not what they want. They want to develop a list of guns and owners, no other reason than future confiscation. The Bill of Rights is no longer adequate protection because the courts do not enforce it. Thanks for your service.

    3. You’re a bleeping idiot. If you really are a marine, my force recon boot needs to find its way up your ads.

    4. My father returned from Europe in 1946 and brought a trophy of a pre war Walther PPK in new condition. When I was old enough to appreciate it and all it stood for, he gave it to me, and it is my prized possession. You agree that I need the government’s permission before I hand it down to my son? Well, I don’t.

  52. Bull crap if you carry the get a license or maybe not even then. They are targeting law abiding citizens of doing their job and get the illegal HG out of jacked up thugs who are pushing drugs and killing kids. And the bull crap about a procedure issue. If a police officer or citizen sees someone kill someone else for to legal reason the frag the magit Otherwise let.the rest of us law biding citizens protect the rest or the wimps who won’t.

  53. Less than 3% of gun crimes involve using a rifle, including modern sporting rifles. The AWB that she implemented in her previous term had “no measurable impact” on gun crime according to the DOJ. So why does she want to ban it so badly? Because unlike other firearms, it can be used to resist government tyranny, and she wants ALL the power and to make sure that nobody can resist her authority.

  54. Secret black lists, registration, and you can eventually throw on snitching on your neighbors and friends to gain favor of the party. Why does this all seem familiar?
I’m in the middle of the road on Trump but I see a non vote for him is a vote for the sea hag and I have to respect the Republican convention’s choice.

    1. I know why this all seems familiar, didn’t the Nazis do pretty much what she wants to do? I will not stand by while American Citizens are disarmed and turned into cattle. It’s to the point where even if you hate the Donalds guts voting for him is our only course of action at this time. We already have a dictator as President and no one has tried to impeach him yet. He’s already done things that are against the law, like discarding the Constitution he swore to uphold and defend. No one with the power to impeach him seems to care and you can bet hillary would get away with the same thing if not worse, because she always has an excuse. Sorry Brothers and Sisters if she gets in we as Americans are screwed.

  55. The AR-15 is the modern version of the musket that our founders used to gain independence from Britain. As such, it should be the most protected firearm of all.

  56. Hillary is so wrong. Crime goes down when people are armed. Just look at Chicago. No one is armed except for criminals and look at the murder rate there. Look at places where people are allowed to conceal carry. One has a high murder rate and the other is very low.

  57. To think I care about whether or not I am in compliance with some non-constitutional administrative ruling will be the least of my concerns, instead of listening to fools and traitors I exercise ALL my God Given Constitutional rights not caring what some one dimensional regressive politically correct lieberal bureaucrat wants!!! Instead I will focus on center mass, maintaining fire discipline, and assessing immediate threat vectors!

Let me make one thing perfectly clear, yes I am a Christian, and yes I carry a gun. One might think I carry a gun because I don’t trust God. Well you would be wrong. I have complete faith in my Lord; it’s an oppressive government that believes it has the right to dictate what I can and cannot have, can and cannot think or say, can and cannot eat or drink etc., I have no trust in!

There comes a time in every man’s life when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s when he becomes too old to take a whoopin’.
I have yet to reach that point in my life but understand that it now takes longer to recover than it did when I was 30 or so!!!

I don’t carry a gun to kill people; I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil; I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government; I carry a gun because I understand the limitations and sometimes intentions of government.

I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry; I carry a gun so that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone; I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man; I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate; I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don’t carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police protection is an oxymoron: Free citizens must protect themselves because police do not protect you from crime; they just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I’m too young to die and too old to enjoy engaging in pugilistic activities!

You won’t see on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

56,000,000 defenseless people were rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control: From 1929 to 1953, about 20,000,000 dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control: From 1915 to 1917, 1,500,000 Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938: From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and OTHERS who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and
    exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935: From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964: From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970: From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956: From 1975 to 1977, 1,000,000 educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

DON’T THINK FOR A MOMENT THIS COULDN’T HAPPEN IN OUR COUNTRY!

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property. Gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

With guns, we are ‘citizens’; without them, we are ‘subjects’.
In a life or death situation with your life or the lives of your loved ones on the line, you don’t want to just survive… You want to win and win immediately.

Think terrorists and violent criminals have rules?

Think they care whether you live or die?

They’re willing to do whatever it takes to end your life.

    Listen.

I’m a combat veteran and trained in martial arts.

However, if it’s illegal to carry where I am I don’t care if I am breaking some illegal and unconstitutional statute there is no way am I going to try and fight my way out of a life or death situation.

I’m not going to make it a competition or try and score “points”.

When my or my family’s lives are on the line I’ll injure, even kill anyone who would dare before they have a chance to harm me or my family.

”Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.”

“Taking my gun away because I might shoot someone is like cutting my tongue out because I might yell `Fire!’ in a crowded theater.”

We don’t have a gun problem we have hearts without God, homes without discipline, schools without prayer, and courts without justice

I have recently relabeled my ammunition stockpile I no longer refer to ammunition as bullets but now I call them “freedom seeds

    1. I like that, just hope we do not have to seed a forest but the oath is “to uphold and protect the Constitution from all threats domestic and foreign” not one word about the government

    2. Amen. Thank you for your words, and thank you for your service. Your reasoning on why we have not only the right to carry, but the RESPONSIBILITY and DUTY to carry is spot on! I don’t think it can be reasoned any better.

  58. there really is only one choice this election – whatever you feel about him it is trump. if you say you cannot vote for him– well another vote for hilary, if you vote independent – another vote for hilary

this is a gamechanger of an election- white house and the supreme court – Obama showed he does not need congress – so if we want our second amendment rights we have to vote

  59. You missed a big one!

Hillary has expressed her approval of Australia’s near total gun confiscation. That, more than anything else, tells us where she stands.

  60. We are not restricted from buying any car, house, appliance or luxury, yet there there isn’t a specific constitutional approval for buying these things, including cars which kill many people every year.

However, there IS a Second Amendment, which guarantees us the right to possess firearms, and the anti-gun types want to deprive us of this right. Why does one buy a Cadillac when a Chevy would do? Because he wants to. Why does someone buy an AR-15 when a single-shot squirrel gun would ‘do’? Because he wants to and has the constitutionally protected right to do so.

  61. The prisoners here have their families set to vote for that woman. They look at us as Sheep and they are Wolves. You should hear the comments they say about “safe” and “gun free” zones. They say no piece of paper ever stopped them from their job.

  62. I am a God fearing American, a veteran, and an Oath Keeper. I swore to protect that which I truly believe in, the one most important document that made this great nation great. The United States Constitition. We have pledged our loyalty our resources and our very lives to the cause of our freedoms. DO NOT LET THEM DIVIDE US. We are many races from many walks of life from every corner of this great nation. We are Oath Keepers.

  63. Congress decides what laws to pass not the president. Clinton/Trump wouldn’t really make a difference who’s in the white house unless a bill gets approved first by Congress and the Senate. In June they just voted on a bill to ban MSR’s and it got shot it down (no pun intended). 15 democrats voted against the law so the people who want to ban assault style weapons includes republicans too. I always thought talk about taking away guns was just another way to sell more guns… But, we came pretty close in June to Congress voting on a law (without any say from Clinton or Obama). Check out this website: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/4269

    1. You can add four more to the list of “unusual” deaths for people involved with the Clintons, and these just happened from June through August of this year. (July 10, 2016) Seth Conrad Rich was a DNC Staffer who was supposed to testify before the FBI about election fraud. He was shot multiple times in the back in a so-called “botched” robbery, where there were no witnesses. There had been a struggle. His hands were bruised, his knees are bruised, his face is bruised, and yet he had two shots to his back, and yet they never took anything. That doesn’t sound like a robbery to me. (June 22, 2016) John Ashe was found dead, first they claimed heart attack, but then changed their story to a “crushed larynx due to a workout accident”. “The New York Post’s Page Six reported that after Ashe was found dead Wednesday, the U.N. claimed that he had died from a heart attack. Local police officers in Dobbs Ferry, New York later disputed that claim, saying instead that he died from a workout accident that crushed his throat. Adding to the mysterious nature of Ashe’s death was the fact that he had been slated to be in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, from whom he reportedly received over $1 billion in donations during his term as president of the U.N. General Assembly. And then there was this: During the presidency of Bill Clinton, Seng illegally funneled several hundred thousand dollars to the Democrat National Committee.” It sounds kind of sketchy to me. (August 1, 2016) Prolific author, AMERICAN FREE PRESS writer and seasoned Clinton researcher Victor Thorn was found at the top of a mountain near his home, the apparent victim of a gunshot wound. It may have been suicide, or maybe not. In conjunction with the other deaths, you start to wonder. (August 4, 2016) On Friday, July 1, just ahead of the long Fourth of July weekend, a happy, exuberant process server, 38-year old Shawn Lucas of One Source Process, served a lawsuit at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Senator Bernie Sanders’ supporters and named the DNC and its then Chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as defendants. It leveled the following serious charges: fraud, negligent misrepresentation, deceptive conduct, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence. There is a video of Shawn Lucas saying he was “excited” and “thrilled” to be the process server on this lawsuit, later in the video equating it to his “birthday and Christmas” rolled into one. A month later, Lucas was found dead on his bathroom floor. A cause has yet to be announced, and as of this writing, we could find no mainstream newspaper or wire service that has reported on the troubling death of Shawn Lucas. The original YouTube video, however, has skyrocketed from 32,000 views to more than 350,000 views as of August 8th. The flurry of angry comments below the video is suggesting there is some form of Hillary Clinton hit squad in operation. Not my words, but not too far of a reach for most intelligent people. This takes the total of KNOWN “unusual deaths” of people who could have testified or otherwise damaged the Clinton “brand” to over 40. How many more must die before the masses understand what is happening? It’s one thing to be a bit slow or naïve, but this is the Ostrich Syndrome to the extreme.

  64. The bottom line is this, In order to have total control over the people you must disarm them. That’s what Hitler did, and that’s what our socialist democrats want to do. Why else would the people we elect try, and try to attack the constitution? It’s greed and power. The 2nd amendment was put in place specifically as a safe guard to allow US citizens to stop a Tyrannical government, Take a look at our government. It’s about that time. If Hillary wins, I hate to say this, we need to take control back…the hard way.
    M. Hogue MI. USA

    1. I hate to think it’s come to that point this quickly, but I believe you may be right Mike.

  65. I believe the main thing is to let the politicians know that if there is any effort to unduly restrict, confiscate or otherwise try to make it impossible to obtain firearms of any type that has been legal in the past we will strenuously resist and with force if necessary.

    1. The problem is is that they’ve already done that and are already doing that. Just look at all of the new NFA restrictions, especially the May 1986 restriction and closing of the registry.

  66. Unfortunately, due to the stupidity of (apparent) the majority of the American people, she WILL end up as President next year. I think what needs to happen then is that ALL of us who believe in the second amendment need to put their money where their mouth is and join the NRA or, if you are already a member, become a lifetime member, as they will need the support and money to fight for our rights.

A person I know who lives in California and hates guns (his words) joined the NRA recently because he said although he does not believe in having a gun, he believes in his right to have one if he wants one. If we can get more folks like him to join the NRA can be the most powerful lobbying force there is (and ANY politician will not only hesitate to cross it, but will go out of their way not to do so).

    1. I really appreciate this comment, I’ll probably join the NRA in the near future whether or not Hillary is actually elected..

I’m afraid that the nation is bankrupt in common sense, and so they just put their money in other people’s mouths. They let other people do the talking and thinking… as long as they can “perceive”, and perceive is key here. Why? Because actually…the very people who think casting their vote for tyrants will bring them some kind of self gain over the majority of other people not only suffer instead…but are the ones who bring the hammer down on their own heads with “their own feet” (right to vote). It’s a great time to be alive, will have to wait and see what November has in store…God permitting…

    2. Unfortunately the NRA it does nothing for the NFA! The NFA is the stuff that they would actually start to confiscate if confiscation came about! I personally support the NFA not the NRA.

  67. All I can say is if she wants to make felons out of 100 million firearm owners she doesn’t have enough people in the entire Federal Government who will or can enforce those laws. I would suggest mass civil disobedience and if they come door to door simply shoot them as they can’t handle the ratio of us against them and most of them won’t even be a part of that nonsense. the military and law enforcement hate those folks and many will either refuse or stand down and not take part in any effort to generally suppress the American public. Hell they can’t even cope with unarmed riots let alone having millions of people shooting at them.

    1. My thought is if Hellery wins ( more like defrauds )to be our next leader, then the tree of Liberty will be watered with the blood of thugs, and politicians and a few Patriots. I am up for it, ready… willing….and definitely able….to give my life for the future of not only our country, but for our grandchildren to still know what freedom is. And to HELL with the UN too. I hope TRUMP will kick their asses out of this country, and disavow any further association with them.

    2. I repeat: The troops, from the Pentagon on down, and police, would not DISOBEY ORDERS of the president to disarm and arrest American “terrorists,” especially in the midst of a “crisis” or “emergency.” And even if some were to protest, they would be quickly shunted aside (probably punished as well) and replaced with those troops whose allegiance and loyalty to the president would be unquestioned.

  68. Because of out-of-control political correctness and other more serious reasons, I do not feel safe out in the community today. I feel I need to be armed at all times to be safe. Police come, but much too late to save you from the rabid element free in our society today. Open borders and too-lax criminal justice systems impact our safety to a fearful degree.

  69. What can you say about politicians!. Liberals,They are people that want to control you!. The second amendment is about keeping the government in check and respecting the people. Read the original writings of the people whe wrote the second amendment. It was there intention to set up a government didnt get too powerfull and wouldnt RULE us.
Im not a crazy person but i know that on that one freedon hinges all the rest.
Many men before me have stood up and died for less. I know my role.!

    1. ” The second amendment is about keeping the government in check and respecting the people.”

It is true that is the primary reason for the Second Amendment but the 2nd covers ALL legitimate uses of a firearm hunting, target shooting, self defense, etc. as well as being able to stand in opposition to an out of control government.
