Reader Comments of the Week

“Mr. Roberts, Great article. I agree with everything and have been saying the same thing for years. There is one thing that has been bothering me the older I get. I’ve been in the automotive mechanic industry for 30 years and using airguns have taken a toll. Arthritic in both wrists and bone on bone in the thumbs are making it harder to shoot. I found my self going to lighter firearms. LCR .375 is just too light but I like the stopping power. May have to pull out the 9mm and try it. This may be something to talk about as I can’t be the only one facing this problem.”

– GREGG, in response to Balancing the Load: Managing Handgun Weight

“The Taurus G2S single stack and G2C double stack are almost the same firearm. Great self-defense 9mm. Dependable, easy to maintain, and fairly accurate. Both available locally to me for less than $200.00. With Taurus lifetime warranty.”

– JOHN, in response to What’s the Cheapest Gun You Can Afford?

“Taught from a young age to sharpen by look and feel. I remember my Dad teaching me how to look at and feel for the existing angle and to match it. He would always talk about how most knives had terrible angles from the factory. Would spend time “correcting ” the bad angles. I use Arkansas stone on my knives. “Dan’s whetstone ” is a good source for stones.”

– CLIFFFALLING, in response to How to Sharpen a Knife with a Whetstone or Diamond Plate
