POF Releases New BW20 Roller-Delayed Battle Rifle
Pakistan Ordnance Factories is developing this rifle both for the country’s military and international market. There are plans to develop both a designated marksman version and a semi-automatic rifle that would be available on the commercial market.

“When series 70 COLT 1911s came out, I got one. Still had to spend an afternoon polishing/”slicking up” the action. COLT 1911s of that time frame (early series 70) would “slick up” to be one of the best of the 1911s. Understand that that title of “best 1911” is now more dependent on individual guns rather than a manufacturer. Too bad a prior COLT management team let their reputation slip so much because they didn’t push to maintain COLT’s quality. Question is – Can current COLT management win back their former title, or will another manufacturer, (SPRINGFIELD???), become the new standard for 1911s. New manufacturing technology does mean that tolerances can now be held to levels unthinkable even 20 years ago, so fit/finish is more a question of management commitment to quality than manufacturing ability.”

“Steel targets reduce walking, and are a fun, practical way to score a contest. Working with a handgun, I think paper is generally better for training and practice, because a miss on steel teaches nothing useful. Did I miss by a gnat’s hair, or a foot? High, low, left, or right? Wild spray or a consistent group not on point of aim? Paper can tell me all those things, give me a bit of exercise, and generally get more tangible and intangible value from a box of ammo.”

“I use vacuum bags to store my ammo. I line up 15 rounds of .223 nose to nose and then seal them up, they fit perfectly in the bottom of a .50 cal ammo box. I take other ammo out of the paper box and seal them up. Just to be safe I throw in a couple of Desiccant packets, to keep things dry outside the bags.”
