Mossberg Rolls Out Three New FLEX Rimfires for 2015

FLEX22 Tactical with Takedown Case

We covered several of Mossberg’s new products in our SHOT Show special editions, with our initial rifle coverage here. The company will also offer several other new models later this year, including three new FLEX rimfire models: Tactical, Tactical Takedown, and a compact Youth model.

The new rimfire rifles are based on the 702 Plinkster/715T autoloaders. These rimfires can be reconfigured, without tools, to accept FLEX TLS accessory stocks and recoil pads such as those found on the 500 FLEX pump-action shotguns (12 and 20-gauge) and MVP FLEX bolt-action rifles (5.56mm and 7.62mm).

The FLEX-22 rifles feature free-floating barrels with 1:16 twist rate, fiber-optic sights adjustable for windage and elevation, synthetic stocks with stippled forends, blued finishes, and 10-round or 25-round detachable magazines, depending on your state.

The FLEX TLS System uses a patented series of connectors that allow stocks, recoil pads, and forends (FLEX shotguns only) to be customized for specific use. Stocks can be interchanged and recoil pads of different thicknesses can easily be switched (3/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches).
