TTAG holds an annual reader’s choice survey for the best-in-class products from the shooting sports industry. This year, the TTAG team opened a new category, the Editor’s Choice Awards, and the MasterPiece Arms bolt-action MPA 308BA received the 2014 award.

“This is fantastic news. I am truly honored,” Phil Cashin, President of MasterPiece Arm commented, “Nick’s (Leghorn) willingness to provide a fair and unbiased, non-preconceived evaluation of his visit to MPA and the subsequent review of the 308BA speaks highly to the integrity of the TTAG organization.”

The MasterPiece Arms bolt-action MPA 308BA rifle is the first MPA bolt-action rifle incorporating a MasterPiece Arms-Spencer Precision Handlapped barrel in .308, built on an MPA aluminum chassis system with a StillersTAC Series Bolt and Action.

  1. All though I wasn’t able to make it to this years Shot Show I’m excited to see just what guns made it to the Shot Show’s “Best of Show” for 2014/2015. The MasterPiece Arms MPA308BA look’s like they’ve taken the basic .308 stripped it down and rebuilt it from the ground up. My first impression of the rifle has got me super curious to see just how well this rifle’s going to shoot right out of the box. I have the feeling just from the looks that this is going to be a tac driver. We shall see!
