Gun Grab: Obama Justice Department Ends Due Process (washingtontimes.com) The Justice Department has granted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) the power to seize and administratively forfeit property under the guise of controlling substance abuse. The ruling grants the ATF power to take property from people that have not been charged or convicted of a crime.

Lawsuit filed for withheld Fast and Furious documents (www.politico.com) Judicial Watch has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to force disclosure of records that President Barack Obama has ordered withheld from the Congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious.

  1. Funny how it’s Obama’s fault, not the congress critters that expanded forfeiture laws to a level that essentially shredded our constitutional rights we once enjoyed, the freedom from warrantless search and seizures.
    Funny how it only is alarming now that the BATFE was authorized forfeiture, whereas the IRS, FBI, DEA and a handful of other agencies long have been literally stealing the property of taxpayers.
    Are your firearms more important than your neighbor’s home? Your bank account? Your pay check? Your home and vehicles? All could be forfeited under the current law, where YOU have to pay for an expensive defense proving your innocence, where the presumption is your guilt. Even for something as horrific as “having a bad attitude” before your local law enforcement.
    Don’t like it? Go take it up with your congress critter. THEY passed those laws that shredded our constitution.
