Remington and Bushmaster Sponsor Major Rifle Matches

Remington and Bushmaster recently sponsored two of the biggest long-range and high-power rifle competitions of the year at the Remington-Bushmaster Open-Long-Range Regional Championship and the Freedom Group Classic- High-Power Regional Championship. Both matches were hosted by the Western Pennsylvania .30 Cal League at Reade Range in Fallen Timber, Pennsylvania during the first two weekends of June.

Federal Judge Kicks Out Part of Chicago’s Gun Law

A federal judge ruled against part of Chicago’s firearm ordinance last week, ruling that banning permits for people convicted of unlawful use of a weapon is vague and unconstitutional. The city must now decide whether to appeal the ruling or rewrite the part of its gun ordinance that bars individuals convicted of even misdemeanor offenses from possessing a firearm in their home for self-defense.

U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Welcomes New Commander

Soldiers, civilians, friends and family members of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit welcomed a new commander on Wednesday to the Home of Champions in Fort Benning, Ga. Lt. Col. Don King, Jr. assumed command from Lt. Col. Daniel Hodne at the unit’s Ceremony Hill located adjacent to Pool Range Complex. Hodne, who commanded the unit for three years, is headed to the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa.

Stag Arms Lands Contract With Cleveland PD

Stag Arms has said that the Cleveland, Ohio police department has chosen a custom configured Stag Arms Model 2 as the official rifle of the department. It’s a modified, accessorized version of the Model 2 with the department’s logo engraved on the lower receiver. Comes with an Eotech 517 sight as well as an ambidextrous safety selector.

Crimson Trace’s New Infra Red (IR) Civilian Laser Sights

Observable only through night vision equipment, these laser sights offer the user the ability to mark a target invisibly, which is a boon for predator control, security personnel or anyone involved in the growing sport of hog hunting. Due to ITAR restrictions, these new IR sights will be available only through select distributors in July 2012. MSRPs between $299 and $599. The first IR lasers to be made available will be on the MVF-515 vertical foregrip and the Rail Master mini laser.

  2. I just saw a tv add for the denny’s greatness commerical and the older woman saying “the right to bear arms” wasn’t in it. I wonder if they took it out to be politicaly correct?
