Clint Upchurch Grabs First Place!

Congratulations to Cheaper Than Dirt!’s shooter Clint Upchurch for his first place win at the Pro AM 3-Gun Championship. On Aug 23-26, shooters from around the nation appeared to test their mettle against the best to find out who’s top dog. Competitors were able to shoot in either the Tac Optics or Open divisions. Upchurch shot in the Open division, and vas victorious against all comers. After the match, Upchurch touted the competition.

“The crew at rockcastle put together a fantastic match!! The industry support was incredible and made the weekend more of an event than just a match.

With 538 competitors in attendance, the staff did an excellent job with organizing and keeping the match running on schedule.

The Pro Am had two distinct shooting competitions going on simultaneously. The nation’s top 3-Gun professionals competed over two and a half days running eight challenging and technical stages designed by former and current 3-Gun champions. Amateurs also competed over two days while shooting seven similar stages on a separate course designed by 3-Gun greats, but tailored especially for the amateur and celebrity competitors.

Rockcastle Shooting Center managed to host the single largest gathering of competitors and sponsors in the history of 3-Gun. The center is the newest addition to the Park Mammoth property. The Shooting Center offers a 15-station Sporting Clay course, five standing, pistol, and rifle ranges out to 1,500 yards, SASS Range, and two 3D archery ranges. Nestled among the wooded ridges and valleys of the historic property, the 2,000-acre resort is located in south central Kentucky.
