2012 SHOT Show Special Report: Stag Arms 3-Gun Rifle

Stag Arms displayed their dedicated 3-Gun rifle, the SA3G. Its match grade, fluted stainless barrel is a heavy profile with a 1/8” twist rate and a rifle length direct impingement gas system. Up front a lightweight Samson “Evolution” forend comes with 3 rail attachments you can put anywhere you like. To eliminate recoil the SA3G has a muzzle brake instead of a flash hider. Magpul provides the grip and collapsible stock, and the trigger group is a top-notch Geissele unit. The really trick part of the SA3G we got to handle at SHOT was its Surefire DD-RTS-SET iron sights, offset at 45 degrees from the centerline of the rifle. This allows the shooter to mount a magnified optic on the top rail for challenging long distance shots, and then switch to fool-proof iron sights for close targets just by tilting the rifle slightly counterclockwise. Mounted here in a right-handed configuration, the sights can be easily reversed for left-handed competitors. With the SA3G, Stag Arms customers now have the ability to buy an “out of the box” rifle that is ready to win 3-gun matches with no further rifle modifications needed. Just add the scope and mount of your choice, grab some match grade ammo, and go mix it up with guys that spent twice as much building their guns piece by piece!
