2012 SHOT Show Special: OTIS Turned Rail System

Otis Elite TRS

The folks at OTIS Technology noticed that many of the rail systems currently on the market don’t truly meet the standards of the 1913 Picatinny specification. They have brought to market a carbine-length rail system made in the USA that meets the military specification exactly in every way. The Turned Rail System (TRS) commands a premium price of $239.99, but its made in America from the best materials and with meticulous attention to detail. OTIS created a go/no-go gauge that fits on a short length of rail. They’re inviting competitors to bring over their rail systems and see which ones are truly to spec, and which ones are just kinda close. Some shooters won’t ever know or care much whether their rail system is truly 1913 Picatinny spec or not. However, for serious competition shooters, or the law-enforcement and military users that OTIS hopes to sell their rail to, having optics and accessories that mount correctly can make a noticeable difference.
