Weatherby Recalls SA-08 28 Gauge Shotguns

Weatherby, Inc. has announced a product recall on certain SA-08 28-gauge shotguns made on March 11, 2013 and after. The shotguns affected have serial numbers AN00001 through AN02802.

If you believe you have a Weatherby SA-08 28-gauge shotgun that is affected, Weatherby encourages you to stop using your shotgun, and contact Weatherby for a free repair.

Weatherby, Inc. has announced a product recall on certain SA-08 28-gauge shotguns made on March 11, 2013 and after.

The safety recall has been issued due to the possibilities of an accidental discharge upon the bolt closing and the loading of a live shot shell. An accidental discharge may cause serious injury or damage to property.

Weatherby asks you to contact it before sending your shotgun for repairs.

Shotguns affected by the recall will be repaired free of charge at Weatherby’s factory, tested, inspected and returned.

“Weatherby apologizes for any inconvenience to its customers resulting from this safety recall program, but it is important that owners of affected shotguns take advantage of this free repair program, and do not use an affected shotgun before it has been repaired.
