Tracy Scarpulla is a mother of three from Albany, New York. Her husband, Joe, is a U.S. Marine who has always believed in the right to bear arms. Most refer to it as the NRA Convention. But in reality, last week’s gathering in Houston, Texas, is formally called the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, because the event is more than just one big meeting. All in, it is an NRA three-day weekend, with dozens of meetings, seminars and hundreds of exhibits put together for the group’s more than five million members. And by almost any measure, the recently concluded National Rifle Association 142nd Annual Meetings & Exhibits, held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston May 3-5, was a rollicking success.

I’m not in the corner of the republicans or democrats; I am in the middle and solidly focused on the Second Amendment. If I am in a corner it is certainly in the Second Amendment’s, but only because I have been backed up that far.
