On The Second Day of Christmas, My True Love Gave to Me—an AR-15

By Suzanne Wiley published on in Firearms

One of the hottest names in the black rifle business may be one you haven’t heard yet. Windham Weaponry, started by previous Bushmaster’s previous owner, Richard Dyke has gathered an experienced group of ex-Bushmaster employees to continue to build and improve the AR-15 platform. If someone on your list or even for yourself, Windham Weaponry’s MPC (Military Preferred Carbine) M4 rifle does not cut any corners on quality.

If someone on your list or even for yourself, Windham Weaponry’s MPC (Military Preferred Carbine) M4 rifle does not cut any corners on quality.

If you are an inexperienced gun shopper, don’t worry. The Windham Weaponry MPC has everything on the list; traditional M4 styling, detachable carry handle, the M203 barrel mount cut out, A2 flash suppressor, six-position collapsible stock, 16” M4 barrel, 30-round magazine, open sights, 1-inch groups at 100 yards accuracy and shoots .223 Remington and 5.56mm NATO.

Perhaps you are a seasoned gun buyer and looking for your first or a new AR, then the features on the MPC are more than you imagined. Though from the outside the Windham MPC looks exactly like your standard AR, you will be hard-pressed to find other companies producing rifles under $1,000 that use stronger parts, such as the pressure-tested bolt and 4150 chrome-lined, chrome moly vanadium steel barrel.

Windham Weaponry does not comprise and it shows. For an extensive review on the MPC, please read the blog Attention to Detail and Meticulous Craftsmanship: Windham Weaponry MPC M4.
