They so firmly believed in the importance of the freedom to bear arms that they enshrined it into the Constitution’s Second Amendment,” said Noem. “This constitutional carry legislation will further protect the Second Amendment rights of South Dakotans.”

The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge roared on the scene as a long-range shooter’s dream. Target shooters raved about its ability to bust a bullseye at 1,000 yards, without the punishment normally associated with long range cartridges. So, it was of little surprise with plinkers and hunters pleaded with manufacturers that they too wanted accuracy without punishment. If this sounds like you, here are our Top 10 6.5 Creedmoor rifles.
On December 17, at about 7 p.m. on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin, a 21-year-old open carrier and his friend were hanging out. It was well below freezing. Heavy coats, hats, and gloves were indicated. State Street runs from the University of Wisconsin to the State Capitol. It is about nine blocks long, and usually crowded with pedestrians, many of which are students. There are numerous bars and restaurants, as well as the Student Union and Memorial Library, Library Mall, and the Wisconsin Historical Society near the west end of the street.
Bumpstocks have been on the hit list for some time now. Not because they are intrinsically dangerous in the hands of hundreds of thousands of gun owners, but because one miscreant, a murderer, decided to use one in a horrific crime. Politicians and anti gunners, as usual, have decided to blame the implement and not the criminal. As a result, under the direction of President trump, the Department of Justice has reclassified bump stocks as machine guns. The ruling becomes official when it is placed on the Federal Register, likely this Friday, December 21, 2018. At that time, it will kick off a 90-day clock to either destroy or surrender your scapegoat bumpstock.

I don’t mind finding coal in my stocking—well coal black actually although flat dark earth magazines are not bad either. Of course finding AR mags in your stocking is like finding batteries. I wonder what the long, narrow box marked “Adult Signature Required” could be for the fourth day of Christmas?

A few weeks ago, as I worked up my personal go-anywhere-do-anything rifle, I elected to mount the Crimson Trace LiNQ system. The LiNQ is a true wireless activated combat light and laser system. The system isn’t overly complicated—even less so if you do not use all of the features but concentrate on the modes that suit your needs.
Last weekend a buddy invited me to the shooting range. Among the guns I was asked to bring were a .38 revolver and .22 LR pistol. A friend of his wife was recently separated. She owned a .38 revolver; the .22 LR was to introduce her to shooting. Looking under my ammo bench, I came across a brick of Winchester Wildcat .22 LR.
American pride still exists! Perhaps as much as it did in the past, perhaps it is somewhat waning under our current political climate. However, this is not a day for political punditry. Instead, it is a day to honor the 21 million living U.S. veterans who either served or are currently keeping the wolf from America’s doors.
